I replaced the left rear door latch. The spring that brought the latch back to the ready position had broken, so about every other time you opened the door it would fall down to the locked position and refuse to close until you reset it with a screwdriver. Bought the part online, downloaded the disassembly instructions, and had at it first thing this morning. Not too much trouble. The trim clips and the power window switch had gotten really brittle, so they snapped when I pried them out. But some new clips from NAPA and some JB Weld fixed that. Just finished up, only thing left is to wait for the JB Weld to set so I can put the switch back in. Sorry, didn't think to take any pictures.

They lent me that for the inspection but gave me this for now. They are waiting on the lca bolts that have been back ordered for four months now so it may be a while ha.

And as far as burn outs go, there is no additional insurance, just my own so probably not gonna risk it.

The plastic piece that holds the hood stick (don't know what to call it, lol) broke, anyone know where I can find a cheap replacement?

The clip? Junk yard, its probably the same as on a 4runner or Camary. Shouldnt be more than $1.

Hmm might buy one. Well I found a kit that's brand new and pretty cheap but I have TRS ballast in the mail heading my way, that was my Christmas present, just saving money at this point.

That's what I was told. Told me they have the frame and the kits, just not those :( we'll see since I'm playing the waiting game now. At least it's saving miles on my truck now.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time. It's just that I recently ordered some from a dealership and they had them to me in 2 days. Any reason other then that to think they ar BS you?

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Mucked up commutator bar not making good connection when in that position maybe? Are all the copper bars on the tail of the motor clean? Pic to see what bars I'm talking about...

Don't clean the magnet wire, it is coated to avoid shorting.
