My Limited was originally scheduled for a 12/21 build date

Build date was moved up to 12/19 - but actual build was back to originally scheduled 12/21

    Put on rail car 12/28

Estimated arrival at dealer between 1/13 and 1/19

For anyone interested, I found a similar truck that just landed at Momentum Toyota in northern California. Call and ask for Abbey, act now before its gone!

10-31-15 I ordered a Black Dcsbtrdsport 4x4 tech package with JBL Tow * Tonneau Chrome tube steps Mud guards Aw mats
They confirmed the order about a month later but still no build date that I know of. I don't want to keep bothering the dealer. I was told at the time of the order 4-6 weeks. It's been 8 weeks. He did call me and say there is a airbag shortage is one reason why they are lagging as well as I ordered the gun metal interior and the factory was tooled up doing the orange interiors. If they keep lagging I might consider asking for my $500 bucks back or consider options like other color choice and options for availability. I just wish I hadn't sold my 99 right away.

    UPDATE:
I went to the dealer yesterday and he got me a build date. 1-19-16

Good luck but don't get your hopes up for a 4-5 week delivery. As most guys in here will tell you it doesn't happen...Mine ordered on 10/17 and was built on Dec 16th , still haven't heard when there is a delivery date.....But good luck!!!!

I'm curious to see what your thoughts are once you had a chance to compare the two vehicles. I was debating between the X5, 4Runner, and Tacoma. In the end, I really wanted to have a stick shift again, so I picked the Tacoma. If Toyota sold manual 4Runners, they'd sell a lot of them IMO.

From the time it's actually built it'll depend on where you're located. Looks like some on the west coast got theirs within a week,I'm on the east coast. Ordered on 9/17, built on 12/9 and dealer ETA is 12/29-1/04..... still waiting:annoyed:

My initial thoughts after test driving a Tacoma is the lack of power. The X5 motor is so much stronger and shifts smoother under hard acceleration. I knew the Tacoma would be a step down, but I need a truck and I like the taco over everything else in the market. I'll be picking up my DCLBOR this Saturday and will have the X5 for another month, so that should give me some opportunity to evaluate.

Wow, i feel bad for all of those having to wait for their trucks to deliver. I first drove a 2016 today, and after a little searching around my local dealer has a BBP DCSBOR enroute that wasn't spoken for yet... Till I found her and put my deposit on her. Transit has her at the dealer on Saturday (01/02). If I can't imagin waiting 4 days I'd hate to feel 12ish weeks!

Edit: anyone in the NorCo/Wyo region want a pair of chrome tube steps?

    I ordered mine 12/8 and still haven't received a build date :(

They did say that it wasn't picked up during their first allocation, but that it should be in the next one. Guess that's what happens when you order from a dealer doing invoice pricing (even though invoice pricing for GST is almost $2k over the rest of the country... )

yeah if you read the past messages in here it really gets you down, some guys wait months and months, I'm on my third month with no word when. Sometimes guys luck out and the dealer can find one already built and divert it to there dealership. no matter what waiting sucks.
