How did wiring in the horns go?

I relocated my stockers and now the one acts finicky :(

Pipeline was like... not even that fun that day. I was just scared to loose a gas tank and there was no mud. I was sad.

Is the one you moved the finicky one?

Did you notice how there's only one wire going to the horn? It's because it's grounded though the body. If you didn't clean the metal where it attaches it's probably not getting a good ground.

The Hella's have two prongs, one positive and one negative, so to make the wiring work I just made a little ground cable to go from the negative terminal on the horn to the body, NDB.

They're in the inner fender behind the fuse box on the driver's side.

Just ground them and make sure your positive wire is spliced properly and you'll be fine.

But as of right now....they aren't grounded....thats problematic if the horn goes off...

Dunno if they can be grounded to where they are....

It just means the circuit will be open and the horn won't happen.

Just make a ground wire and go to LITERALLY ANY METAL PART OF YOUR TRUCK.

Horns work...because the paint stripped out of the holes when i ran the bolts in...but the ground isn't perfect because maybe one out of ever ten times pushing the horn...one of the two of them (cannot determine if its the high or the low) doesn't produce its sound

I would just make sure the ground is good and it'll work fine.

how did you splice the horn wire?

Didn't. Unplugged the horns. Unclipped the covered wires and pulled the loom up under the battery and under the fuse box.

Then I'd say you're having a ground issue. I'm amazed you're having issues with that when I just.. made the connector fit on my horn.

I'm pretty annoyed by it. There should be an included ground strap with its own bolt just like the negative terminal on the battery. But because toyota is fucking retarded, there is not.

I don't know the first thing about making a ground wire like you said so i'm just going to PUT EM THE FUCK BACK.

You know i hate wiring/electrical shit

    A ground strap?

If I'm not mistaken there's a bolt on the back of the horn that is the "negative terminal".
