I've got Dakars on my truck but they squeak like crazy. Anybody else have this problem?

Shoot, alright I'm trying to refrain from doing this to save some $$$.
How much was it for you, did you have them do the whole kit & did you do UCAs as well?

Yeah I live in an apartment basically so no place to do the work myself. I think the labor total was $700 or so. UCAs, rear leaf pack, rear shocks, front system.

Not all 2015s need the grinding. Some did. You could be okay, but don't plan on it. Surprises suck!

Okay well I'll keep that in mind

Yeah they do especially when you're on base with minimal tools and need to do it right the first time if you're ripping your suspension out of your only DD

If the roof of your truck is close enough to the roof of the garage that 2-3" of lift could scrape...

    then don't lift your truck.

As for numbers, two 2015 dclb with ome kits running 885s will not necessarily be the same height even with the exact same cap...

So I'm putting a new plate bumper on my truck with a winch in it soon and was thinking about upgrading my front suspension to handle the extra weight and get rid of my dreaded coil spacer. I was thinking the ome 883 but I had a couple of questions. Toytec says to use the ome 9004 shock, but I was wondering if there are other good options as they are $300. I know people love there adjustable 1500s, would these work? Are there other front spring options for me? I'd like to order through Toytec but I am open to other dealers. Any help would be great! I'm looking for about 3" of lift up front. First gen

Don't think he was trying to be a troll... But pull up to your garage and measure how much room you have. If there isn't 6" of clearance, I probably wouldn't do it. Figure you get 3" of lift from the OME and another 1" or 2" from tires (depending on what size you go with).

He actually did answer your question. The 885's will lift your truck 2"-3". So your truck will be 2"-3" taller than it is now....

I know it takes a long time, but do a bit more reading brother. With all the research I did before ordering my suspension I feel like I should have been paid to do it:rolleyes:

I don't think anyone can really give you a straight answer to your question due to the fact that there are a lot of variables and opinions. Try using the search function in the top right to save yourself some timing reading page after page.. If you want to save money then bilsteins and OME are really your best bet.. Find some members on here with similar setups to what you want and ask them for advice, PM some vendors such as toytec, headstrong, wheelers, etc, they will all give you advice on what to do.

Keep in mind that a bumper and winch are heavy, and I'd imagine that you intend to use them for wheeling. I know that bumpers and winches don't come cheap, but the last thing you want to do is cheap out on the suspension that holds them up!

If you truly want 3" of lift them bilsteins are probably a no go with that weight up front if you intend to do even moderate wheeling. You can achieve close to 3" with OME setup but be forewarned.. cv angles and shit becomes problematic. Also, you need aftermarket UCAs to achieve proper alignment numbers. Do some reading, then get back to us with questions when you have a better idea what you want/need/is possible.

    Woahhh easy there muchacho!

I was recently in your boat and asking suspension questions as well, twas only trying to help.

You can expect 2-3" of lift. No one can tell you exactly how much, you won't know until you try it. If your truck is close enough to the garage that 2-3" is risky, then all I can suggest is finding a new place to park or not putting a lift on:notsure:
