I could be playing now, but I'm so god damn apathetic about the game lately. Tomorrow I need to find T-51 armor and the Gauss rifle

 

Those things are humdingers. They'll seriously ruin a rad roach's day.

See, I don't even know who the hell that is. I may have already killed him, I don't know.

Look for someone who has one, kill them, and take what's yours.

 

You can buy a legendary gauss rifle from Ronnie Shaw at the Castle. I think it was 3000-4000 caps. 50% additional limb damage.

 

See this, this isn't good. How can you be apathetic about such an amazing game?

 

I don't know where this Castle is but I'm headed that way with a ripper.

Lol I don't know, I just get bored with his one lately and I'm trying to prevent fallout addiction. Also I just realized my copy of new vegas is missing after we had the walls repainted and the carpet replaced in our house a few months ago. Fucking workers must've got me. I hadn't even finished all the dlc's yet. Oh well I think I paid like 20 bucks for the GOTY edition new with all the dlc's

Seriously. All I've done is explore, kill, scavenge, build, and repeat all in the name of urban renewal.

 

I was just at some tall building that had a fire escape up to the top so I went up there and discovered I was across the street from a 1/2 dozen raiders in another building and saw one guy with a huge looking gun so I sniped him and the rest , went down and picked it up

 

I'd suggest doing some of the main story, you'll get some new areas to raid and kill everyone

 

Maxed out with mods and all the rifle perks I had one just past 350 IIRC. The only problem is that it has to charge to get that damage. So you have to aim, charge, and fire. Which is great if you have a stationary or large target. For anything moving within 50 feet it's no good. Not compared to a Plasma Rifle that can output the same base, as in non charged, damage with a far faster rate of fire.

After you find the castle (south east ish on the map) you should swim over to the island to the south east with that ripper.

 

Can you use any boats ?

 

Not that I know of. I just walked over to it with my power armor. I barely made it before I ran out of air. I imagine it would've been easier and quicker to just pop some rad x and swim with the hazmat suit on

 

May I ask why before I go over there completely unprepared and get wrecked?

 

Cuz you can make both of those locations into settlements. And that's not the only thing they have in common
