Sorry to hear that. The Flash Can was the only thing I've bought from them. No issues.

Anyone have experience with velocity triggers? I'm trying to decide between their 3.5lb and a cmc.

Thought you guys might like this, Lone Star Armory billet receiver, Timney trigger, BCM grip, Troy PDW stock, AAC upper with KAC URX 3.0 8" rail, Aimpoint T1, Troy BUIS, and a MS1 sling, I usually punch 208 AMax subsonic handloads out of it suppressed or 110 AMax supersonic handles unsuppressed. Oh, and a Surefire X300 Ultra for some white light.

Would you get the Troy stock again if you had it to do over? I've wondered if the impact to cheek weld is worth the shorter length.

I would, I really like it. It takes a bit to get used to but, you just got to remember this isn't a precision rifle setup but, for PSD, CQB, or a low profile setup...I think it's tops. Wish I had this when I was in Iraq, rather than the MP5K I had.

Crap, got a complete BCG from primary arms to put in my pistol build and after a little over 40 rounds I was having ejecting issues, pull the BCG and I'd lost the ejector.
Just emailed PA to see if they will warranty it or if I need to go the the manufacturer.

A friend has one. He put it on a 14.5" barrel with a pinned FH and it's a cool look. Just don't expect the desert dirt color to match anything, including the accessory rails, lol.

I will be going with black anyways. Never really been a fan of colored AR's. I've always liked the "black rifle" look. Thanks for the input

Not as fancy as some of y'alls, but they work for me :)

Eventually I'll get around to putting a rail and optic on the AR15, and then I'll be able to mount the Surefire I got to keep when I got out of the Army (good to be friends with the supply sgt lol).

    Merry Christmas to MEEEEEE
    From me :anonymous:

First AR. Was pondering building my own but started researching and realized I didn't know what the f*ck I was doing, lol. Then this one popped up for a steal so I jumped on it. Basic and boring, but from what I've read online they're reliable and accurate enough. So I figured it's not a bad way to jump into the AR pool. I figure I can tinker with this one until I get a knack for them, and maybe then build one from scratch. :notsure:

Also, has anybody tried the Hexmag 30-rd mags? They seem to be running about $5-6 cheaper per mag than the Magpuls, so I was just curious if they were any good or if I should stick with what came with the gun. Thanks in advance!

$599 shipped, plus the $25 FFL. :notsure:

About $150 less than the cheapest I could find at the local shops.

If you can tap a hammer and follow directions you can put an AR parts kit together. Just need a couple of speciality tools you may not have, but they're not too expensive on Amazon. Good to have brass punches and nylon hammers so you don't scuff the finish. You honestly don't save that much $ doing it, but you can put the exact parts you want into the build. That's the main advantage IMO.
