Funny you should say that. I bought lights from someone here and one of them arrived with a crack clear across one of the lenses that the seller failed to mention in his ad. He was a standup guy however and took them back. But it did make me think the same thing - don't buy used lights.

I have never done retros yet so I can't say where to get housings but www.carid.com has China clones of OEM if you wanted OEM style but not price... For OEM stuff I just use my account discount at servco

 

I'm sorry for your experience with them... I never had problems with mine (fingers crossed) but I don't skrimp out on things like lights... The LEDs I bought from superbright always lasted in all my previous cars and for this truck I have now I led'd my whole front and love them... My experience will not speak for all, nor will yours... Just our $0.04... But I spend the prettiest of pennies on the stuff I don't want to change often... I switched to led HL because I like the pure white of hid but not the beam scatter... Led works well in standard housings when aimed a little low

Now ddmtuning has lots of problems with the mini ballast with external in-line igniters... But if I want hid I will still go there because their warranty is cherreh

Agree with all of these. I've used superbrightleds for multiple vehicles/projects and the only problem I've had is with one of their low-end power supplies dying after being on for 3 months straight.

Ran ddmtuning HIDs with low profile ballasts in my Lexus and loved them.

Currently have Toyota OEM style LED amber fog lights from carid on my Tacoma. For the price I thought I was going to get a plastic housing with a plastic lens. I got metal housing and glass lens. The only problem I've had with them is holding moisture after they've been submerged and that's not exactly what they're designed for.

 

I'm sure there's at least one mod that thinks this should be RockLobsters avatar...
