Nice...I think I saw those at Best Buy (probably for an insane mark up) but they look pretty neat- You can get blackberry batteries and stuf too...so there is NO wires at all...

 

I know this thing is amazing. You can charge just about anything with it.

 

its cool .. but only if they make a custom battery door/battery for your device. otherwise you just have to plug something into it then put the thing you plugged in onto the mat. complete waste if you still have to plug something in. They need to expand the available batteries/doors significantly before this thing will gain real popularity.

Keep in mind that it is also going to charge pretty slowly. It's just a drawback of wireless charging.

 

I think according to the website it is supposed to charge just as fast as if it was plugged into the wall

 

which will probably lead to a higher number of times you put it on the charger and then lead to faster battery degradation.

(just my thoughts but may not be the case at all)

I don't know all the details about it, but it seems like a legit and cool product

 

its pretty cool but i wouldn't get it yet. eventually manufacturers will start making phones, ipods, etc, with batteries taht utilize that technology from the factory. now THAT will be cool

 

Saw one at target for 99$. They also have a single one for the iPhones and iPods. It's a case you put on it and lay it down to charge.

 

Pam Pre already has this. So does my Sonicare toothbrush.

 

Seems completely pointless to me. It doesn't make sense to spend $100 just to save 1 second of time from not having to plug my phone/mp3 player/random device into its charger plug. Plus, pretty much everything these days uses a mini-USB to charge, so you don't have to keep track of a ton of different chargers, either.

 

Only reason i dig it is to avoid the rats nest of wires to charge three phones and an iPod or two on the kitchen counter where space is kind of at a premium already.

 

You can't use the item like away from the pad though...so like if you want to use your phone you have to use it on the pad unlike with a cord...i don't like calling people with my head laid down on my phone

 

I don't think that's true at all....cause that would be the stupidest thing ever.

If you get the replacement batteries for a device it'll charge just like any wired charging method...Pick it up and go with whatever charge you have. Get an adapter and it's just like plugging it into the wall.
