That's a really good deal with all the extras you're getting. Those taxes suck tho, you must be in a really high sales tax state.

I am blown away by some of these OTD prices...some in the 34k range, including TTL, for TRD OR DCSB 4x4? That seems crazy and the dealer would be losing money, even with holdback/incentives.

Makes me really re-think my deal.

I purchased last week: 2016 TRD OR DCSB 4x4, Prem&Tech, no JBL
Tonneau cover, Tow package, all weather mats, bed extender
    Invoice: $34,800 + $935 Destination Fee = $35,735 before TTL

    Sticker on truck was $39,522.00

I paid $35,490 + TTL (tax 7%) = $37,200 OTD before discounts. Traded car ($10.5k for 2011 Prius - "good" on KBB trade value) and have military $1,000 off through toyota.

    Additional Fees:
$549 Docc fee (neither toyota dealership would budge at ALL from this, but I did get them to throw in a few accessories).
    $3 Warranty Rights Fee
    $63 Title

    Total OTD financed $26,323.35.

Can I please get some feedback/insight on the buy? I crunched all the numbers before going in and was very happy with the deal, but now reading what appears to be people getting a few thousand BELOW INVOICE seems nuts, or I'm completely readying it wrong.

Did I get as good a deal as I thought?

We paid 39k for ours. It all depends on where you live. These super deals are coming from Texas and the East coast where these trucks aren't popular. On the west coast, it's msrp or more. 500 off if you're lucky

Also, a lot of East coast is paying 0 to 300 in tax. My tax was 3400 dollars

    Spare Tire lock
    All weather mats/door sill protector
    Bed mat
    Tonneau Cover
    Towing Package
    7yr/75K extended warranty

    Price: $37,227
    TAX: $1,420
Dealer Fees: $439 (Tag/Title prep etc)
    Total: $39,086

Minus another $15K for my 09 Tacoma trade in (could have gotten more private party I'm sure... but I'm lazy)

Good deal, without knowing what the extended warranty will cost, that puts you around $1500 above invoice w/ the DH factored in. I would drop the extended warranty. In my experience they don't cover shit and serve purely as extra profit for your dealer.

    I mean, come on, you're buying a Toyota! :)

I'm getting about 500 over invoice pricing and some of the financing rebates helped. I wouldn't say the trucks aren't popular in the south east but definitely 0 to minimum sales tax helps a lot. 2k+ on sales tax is way too much in my opinion ( Ron Swanson would agree too haha )
Hope you're enjoying your truck, can't wait to pick mine up.

Extended Warranty was $1200. What sold me on it was my current 09 TRD Sport. 60K on her, and the Mid/Rear U Joints inside my drive shaft are apparently worn out. Toyota wants $1600 to replace the whole drive shaft. Not cool..

I got one quote so far:
    TRD Sport 4X4 Auto SB
    Premium & Tech w JBL
    Bed Matt
    All Weather Liners
    MSRP $38,604

Guy says he can take off $500 from the sticker..LOL
I said "thats nice". Then he wanted me to come in and I told him no point to that, we are nowhere near what I want to pay.

TRD OR 4X4 DC SB MT
Premium & Tech w/ Tow Package
    Bed Mat
All Weather Floor Liners & Door Sills
    Roof Rack
    Cast Aluminum Running Boards
    Truck Bed D-Rings

    MSRP: $37,528
    Invoice: $34,364
    My Offer: $35,000
    Dealer Offer: $37,000 firm

Manager told me they don't need to give away trucks, they sell everyone from their allotment as soon as they come in for MSRP. I said I fully support that the dealership makes a profit, but that they would be making a $3,278 profit (markup and holdback), plus any financing kickback at $37,000. I pointed out they would be making $1,278 plus a financing kickback with my offer, certainly not "giving the truck away." The dealer said sorry, we cannot do business with you at this time. I'm going to check around, but looks like I'll be waiting until things settle down, because I don't believe the dealer should be making that kind of profit.

Still think you are getting a fantastic deal! I just got confirmation that my truck would be at the dealer by the end of next week. Ends up being about $800 over invoice after all the math is done. I have to pay about 3% on the trade difference in taxes. They gave me a pretty decent deal I think, and the USAA pricing plus military rebate I used helped.

It wasn't easy at all. I ordered it with tech and JBL. They told me it was all set then 2 weeks later they told me I couldn't get the tech with JBL even though that's what I ordered. So I had to settle for no tech package or JBL. Should be here in 2-3 weeks. Sounds crazy but I may just sell it once I can get exactly what I want, even if it's a 2017.

I am now looking at the new Tacoma's after being away for awhile. We have a smaller market here in NW Florida but it doesn't stop these dealers from demanding close to MSRP. I am in no rush so we shall see what happens.
