Easy. It's called contract year production.

Are you referring to contract year phenomenon?

Sure, the Eagles could release him but they still owe him $18mil.

Wow, NFL.com's power rankings threw out an Alvin Davis reference in the Seahawks summary. That is going back a ways!

The Rams are such an odd team. They are likely to go 5-1 in the division and 3-7 out of it. They could do some damage if they can figure out teams outside of the NFC West.

Since NFL players can be cut at anytime, guaranteed money is the big negotiating tool. I believe we will see a fully guaranteed contract in this decade. Philly will not cut Murray anytime soon. I do believe they will look for a run first minded head coach. That was not Chip Kelly.

    To put this in perspective:

Murray was only guaranteed 660,000 with his contract in Dallas.

He has a great season.. and the eagles give him a contract that guarantees 18,000,000.

Am I the only one who sees the disconnect? The Eagles O-line is not the Cowboys O-line. The Cowboys had (at the time) Romo, as well as a great tight end and a couple great wide receivers. Who in the Eagles camp could possibly have thought the salary cap hit they were taking made any sense? I still am reeling over Kelly's decision to say adios to their guards.. I just don't get it. smh

That's incorrect. Chip Kelly is a run first coach, he ran more than he passed at Oregon. Everything he did was built off of the run.

I can only assume Kelly thought the O line was good enough. I just can't believe that he's thought Bradford was a mobile QB.

Murray and his agent as with 99% of all NFL players and their agents only care about the payday. It doesn't matter about production to the agent after the contract is signed.

Spread offense isn't necessarily a run first attack as it actually employs three to five receiver set. Kelly's mix was a mobile QB and mastering the no huddle.

But he was all based off of the run, he is not a pass first coach. He runs a spread offense based off of the running game, not the passing game.

They have young talent, but I have serious doubts about Fisher.

And then Kelly can take his spot in NE. Belichick is quite fond of Kelly.

Well looks like main stream media disagrees, mostly because the "sexual harrassment" was settled out of court and proves nothing. You do realize that most of us are not Broncos or Colts fans, but we love watching all of the Brady fanboys squirm and get all mad when someone says Brady isnt the best

No I get that part, esp when you have 650 and his lust to have Brady's child.
