Hey all- I'm looking for any advice on inflatable air mattresses for camping and sleeping in the bed of the Tacoma short bed. It is a bed after all...

Links to products you liked would be great.

You guys know all the tricks...

9 buck! That's a great deal- and they last? I guess for that amount, I could get 6 of them as backups.

I agree. I use a twin cheap one all the time. They look like they dont fit right but once your weight is on them they fit just fine!

yeah i wouldnt bother with specialty truck beds. get a sigle to go between the wheel cut outs or a twin to go over and just dont inflate it all the way. just lie down and enjoy

Does the AirBedz fit in a 5ft Short Bed? I know the gate would have to be down... I'm just concerned with the cutouts being made for the 6ft bed and there being a big gap at the front of the bed.

Anyone have any pictures of one in a shortbed?

id measure the distance from the wheel wells to the front of the bed and compare that to a 6ft bed. either find one in a parking lot and give it a quick measure or ask on here. someone will give you the dimensions. thats really the only dimension that determines fit if you dont mind leaving the tailgate down

the problem that I noticed is that they sell truck bed mattresses for the short bed but they only go to the end of the bed, not to the end of the tailgate like all the truck tents do. Well thats only a 5 foot mattress and I'm 6 feet tall so that wouldn't work very well. Does anybody know where to find a truck bed air mattress that will go all the way to the end of the tailgate?

Did anyone ever find a solution to the 6' person 6' mattress problem? I want one with the wheel well covers cause I have kids that will inevitably end up in there at some point and need the room. the standard in the bed dimension for 2013 is 72x55" I'm about 73" so I'd like to find' one that will hang out a couple inches on the tailgate for extra comfort. this site has one listed that says it's 55x75" but then it clicks to another site with no specs, don't know if i trust that its different.
Did anyone ever find one a little over 6' that fit in the 55"bed width?

actully now i see this is an error, I searched the same PN on Amazon and it's the same 6' airbedz that is everywhere else. I'm still looking..

this one says it's 75" also but also is pictures sitting within the bed so it can't be over 6'
