I bought the truck with spacers and was completely fine with it since the ride wasn't any worse than stock. But when off-roading, you can really tell it has less travel. I found a really good deal on some 265 tires, but that would look really bad with a 2.5 spacer lift.

I was thinking about taking off the lift, but I wasn't sure if I could since it's been on the truck for so long. The shocks, springs, and leaf springs need to be replaced. So I wasn't sure if I would be stressing out all the components by removing the spacer.

Also, how would I level out the rear? It's not lifted on blocks, so is it lifted at all, or that's just stock

There is nothing wrong with removing them. You will need an alignment afterwards, but that's it. You're kinda stuck with the factory rake unless you remove a leaf in the rear to lower it which wouldn't be a good idea.

Than the rear is probably stock.

What size tires are you currently running? I'm assuming they're worn out since you want to replace them? Are you sure you want to lower and put smaller tires on it since it sounds like you actually take it off-road?

I'm running 285/75/16 BFG KM2s. But they are near half life. Great tires, but terrible in the rain. I'm sliding everywhere. I am looking into more of a rain tire for the winter and found good deals in 265s.

I was thinking I could take off the lift for now, and get street tires until it stops raining. Then after winter, plop on my OffRoad tires and lift and be fine until the next winter.

But if I'm gonna have the stinkbug look, I don't think it's really worth it.

I've been trying to get people on Craigslist to do a straight up trade for some All Terrains but people are backing out last second. Go figure. :ballchain:

As for the rear, I just can't believe it is 2.5 inches to level it out. The leafs are even sagging.

Are you sure they're stock leaf packs? I've found that factory rake is around an inch. How many leafs are in the packs?

Depends on the leaf pack, but it's usually around 2" to level out. A picture of your leaf pack would tell what exactly it is(if you were still wondering).

I don't remember how many leafs there are. But I'll find out, and give a picture tomorrow.
