That $13,000 discount, was it available with their finance/lease offers or was that for Cash purchase only?
    Thanks.

And calling someone out for derailing a thread and then calling a fellow forum member a "fanboy" just because he was likely tired of hearing all about the latest F150 is relevant too.

It was 12,000 after looking at the numbers. It was 10,000 off + 1000 Costco + 500 end of year + 500 gas card.

    Cash deal.

Posting "well then, get a ford.... Enjoy"

Is not helpful nor productive. If everyone commented like that about something they disagreed with on a Internet forum it would be full of useless posts. There was a good 3 page discussion with the upsides and downsides of Tacoma vs F150. Clearly other forum members were passionate enough the conversation to add their $0.02.

I highly doubt he has even driven or priced a 2015+ F150 so he is likely just saying that because he is a fanboy.

I am realtime cross shopping the 2 vehicle and am posting my review. I would hate to see someone buy a 2016 Tacoma without testing the new F150 because it is that good, and the Tacoma just isn't.

woah...chill out, seriously! My comment is quite harmless, with no name callin like your's.
I also mentioned I priced out a FX4 last year as they always go on blowout sales. My brother owns one which I've driven many times. My favorite full size truck I'd probably consider if relevant would be the 2500 Dodge Ram which I used for work in the far north...I'd never consider the Tundra. Please, move on from my harmless comment.

Alright gents, I know the topic is relevant to the thread but lets keep the sneering away from it. If you like the F150 thats cool, if you like the Taco more then thats cool. No sense in getting all amped up about it.

I think all this talk just reflects how slow the 2016 is selling.

Very few people want to pay what Toyota is asking and, of those that do, few want to pay 4% interest.

I agree the Tacoma is overpriced, do you have any evidence or facts that the Tacoma sales in Canada are slow?

Nope. Pure speculation. I'm guessing they aren't terrible but I doubt they are as good as they were, based on percentages, when the 2nd gen first came out. This truck is coming out during a recession and the value really isn't there unless you have very specific needs.

Those numbers could be heavily skewed to 2015 MY sales. They were giving good deals on leftover 2015's. They dissapeared very quickly from my local Toyota dealers lot. And after the first few pre ordered taco's sold, the rest are sitting in inventory.

I could be wrong though, just my $0.02

Yeah, true. I don't want to play that negative guy right now though. We shall see how sales continue, but the local dealer still has that inferno OR taunting me after a whole month.

First taco on the lot was a salesman's ordered trd sport dclb inferno. I went in and was ready to buy until I got the payment quote. 4.9% and several grand higher MSRP made me wait. Inferno with trd pro wheels=:headbang:

Wait until Feb to March. By then the remaining 2015's should be off the lot.

I saw one discounted pretty hard. It was the last one on the lot and was flaming pink :)

Nice find on the sales chart. I kind of wish the sales were slow to spur on incentives. The dealer in Kitchener has 2 ac OR and a limited and they have been on the lot for at least a month. There's been quite a few dcsb manual orders that have gone through the dealer.

A few left over '15s up here in FtMac too. Two TRD sport with the premium package. Same dealer can't seem to keep the '16s on the lot.

Just ordered my "bullet Proof Skid plate".
I emailed the company stating it was hard to justify buying this for most Canadians with the current horrendous currency rate. They offered an additional 10% off their already 10% promotion. I like promoting and supporting companies who are willing to listen! Still a bit pricey, but still slick looking!
