The sport has the flip down compartment but the OR has left me setting them all over the cab. Anyone have any great solutions yet?

Have you thought about one of these? They're an ultra-sticky (but no residue) non-slip mat that just lays on your dash. Cheap and can be found almost anywhere.image_zpsylgj4kzm_1bff65cd98f5c204a7cf7729ba4edc44be08c5af.jpg

Give it time. Someone with gopro envy will make one. In a few years, I see a whole section of TW dedicated to those with gopro envy finding different uses for that mount.

LOL! Of course, that's a given, but I'm assuming he doesn't have one (based on the question)...

I keep my Oakley's in the center console since the overhead console is too small to fit those glasses..plus, my overhead console is currently being occupied :spy:

I keep mine in the gap to the right of the parking brake, lenses facing up. Fits perfectly and doesn't slide around. Also keep my wallet there too. Will take a pic later.

I have a 2nd gen but regardless I never keep sunglasses in my truck anymore since the heat warps them to shit over time. If I'm just leaving them temporarily I stick them in the center console or glove compartment. I don't use the overhead console for glasses anymore.

Damn.... What kind of sunglasses are you buying? I have had nice Oakley's that I have used on patrol for over 13 years, always being left in cars (pretty much their entire lives) and they have yet to deform! Spend the $$$! I do get them for like half price since I am in LE though.

I have Oakleys and ESS stuff, haven't had problems with those because I don't leave them in the truck long, but I've had a pair of Natives end up warped by leaving them. That and of course the cheap stuff warps too.

I had nose pieces on my Maui Jims melt when I left them in the overhead bin. Nasty. And not cheap glasses!! Titanium flex-fits. Great company- they just sent out new ones. No worries.

I have the salex organizer that gives you 6 compartments in your console and I put them in one of the compartments.
