2005 Extang 2.0 Tonneau Fit a 2016? Craigslist

Found an awesome deal on a Extang Tri-fold 2.0 tonneau on CL, Guy says it fits 2005-Present Taco's. Anyone here have any experience with 2nd Gen tonneaus on 3rd Gen Tacoma's?

You might want to read a few of the threads on here about that cover. I seem to recall reading that someone got their Gen 2 top to fit after trimming the gasket or something, but there are some other spots on the bed rail that have gaps and you'll need to come up with some pieces of foam cut to fit in order to fill them in. That may mean that the top itself is the same, it's just the gasket that is different. Just do a little reading, you may be able to get it to work, but it wouldn't be bolt on. You may also be able to buy just the gasket as a replacement part from Extang.

rottenpixies I'm in Maryland, Guy wants $200 for the tonneau not sure if that worth the drive for you... I'm undecided if I want to try and make a tonneau that's not for my year truck fit or not.

It's for regular or extended cab only. I was ignorant enough to think they were all the same..

 

wont fit double cab? i thought it was just dependent on the bed size 5ft or 6ft
