Anyone that gets in and out without hovering will eventually rub through the seat material on the left outer bolster because of the damn knob on the side.

Can anyone with Fab skills make something to replace it with? The easy solution is to get the seat where you'd like it and then remove the knob to save your seats, but then adjusting the seat is a PITA.

I've tried various around-the-house solutions- the closest was a WD-40 cap but it's a little large. I'm sure I could wrap the adjuster in tape and shove the cap on there, but I'm down for a real solution.

    Any ideas?

Is it between the knob and the material?
I like my seats as they are, but this is a poor design. If someone made something that popped on there with no flower-petal look to dig in, there's be no more issue.

    Yeah- my 06 wore thin.
I'm hoping for a fix before my 15 does it too.

Why not remove the knob altogether and replace it with a rubber plug (like on the oil filter drain) just for aesthetics? How often do you really adjust the lumbar support anyway? I'll admit that I play with my knob every once in a while (I know), but really isn't it a "set it and forget it" type deal for most people?

When on a long drive, I like to crank it a little, but for the most part I set it and forget it like it's made by Ron Popeil.
And don't play with your knob too much or you'll go blind.

When I removed it from the 06, I just wanted something cosmetically nice for that area. I'm just wondering if there's anyone on TW that can make something. I don't have the skills myself, but people on here fabricate all kinds've stuff, so it was just a thought out loud more or less.
