    The mirror comes with a plastic cover that fits between the head liner and the base. It snaps in. That being said I didn't use mine. Wires are wrapped and not very visible.

    I tried to take down my console but it's on there real tight and I don't want to rip the headliner. Anyone have any advice?Yes I took out the screw

    I pulled mine down today, at first I was trying to pull it down from the rear which is what you cant do, I found running my fingers along the side towards the front was the best place to pull down on it.

    I have a 2015 SR5 PreRunner DCSB 2WD. I checked in front of the radiator and I have the temp sensor.

    I then pulled my overhead console and there was a white 14 pin connector not being used, plus of course the two connectors for the lights.

    So does this mean that Bob's mirror will be plug and play for both the temp and compass, or will I have to route a new temp sensor?

    FOX 2.5 DSC and some other stuff too.
    The mirror will plug and play but you do need to route another temp sensor. The sensor you have is related to the AC system and is not compatible with the mirror. It's pretty easy to run the sensor.

    I just ordered my mirror from Bob. Question: does the wire from the mirror go up and under the headliner to plug into the 14-pin? Or does the 14-pin wire come out from under the headliner to plug into the mirror connection? Thanks

    One question tho.
    Is the location of the temperature sensor where it comes on the ones from the factory?

    Does it get hot from being in the engine bay?

    Installed Cooper At/3's (265/70R16) and ProComp 7089 Rims. Tinted front windows. Did the Fog Light Anytime mod. Did the tailgate mod. Added running boards. Adding sound Deadening from RAAMaudio. Replacing stock speakers with Polk Audio DB6501's.
    You need to run the sensor from the mirror to the front of the truck. I placed mine on the skid plate under the front bumper. Engine heat only seems to affect the sensor when you are stopped for an extended time. Once moving, it's back to normal quickly.

    Hardest part for me was running the wire through the hole in the firewall.

    Also my truck didn't have the plug cover on it.

    Other than that it was simple!
