@MadTaco461 what is this? It was in the bottom of the factory air box. It has a plug going to it but it just looks like a solid piece of plastic. It's on the harness with the MAF plug

Googled that, you're right. I didn't know what it was so I didn't know what to search for lol. Now to read up on it and figure out what to do with it

Put it somewhere post turbo on the intake so you get an accurate reading.

Has to go pre-turbo near the MAF. Wont reach anywhere else. I suppose I could just drill a hole in the silicone elbow on the turbo inlet

Where'd you source your silicone couplers and AL tube BTW?

Just pull some of the wrap off that keeps it together with the MAF harness and you should have enough length to work with.

I never had a factory air box when I bought the truck. I have a k&n. The air filter comes with a box that you plug in place of that sensor and just electrical tape it to your harness

Amazon and ebay. I can get you links if you need them

Any reason not to just drill a hole in the elbow on the turbo intake? Would be the easiest place to put. I guess technically I could just leave it since the air going to the turbo will be the same as engine bay temp

That works too. If it gets weird you can make a change down the road

The reason to put it post-turbo is the compressed air will be hotter. Hence the more accurate reading that @ckeene9 mentioned.

My maf reads temp. So there might be a change between mine and yours. Since my maf is post turbo it reads boosted air temps. Hot starts are weird, but once the air cools down the truck runs good. You could put it in your charge pipe like the others recommend. You will know how hot of air you are blowing into your motor with a cheap obdii reader

As far as the build goes I am soooo close to done. The only thing left is to finish the down pipe with recirculated wastegate, and wire the boost gauge and wideband.

In the instructions for the wideband it says to mount the sensor 36" from the turbo. Is it going to hurt anything if I mount it a little closer say 29" (the bottom of the downpipe)? Also, will the truck run with no o2 sensors? My flanges to mount the upstream and downstream wont be here till next week

Pretty sure you need at least the upstream o2 for the ECU to adjust the A/F ratio, the downstream sensor is for the emissions system.

First o2 sensor is used for fuel trim so it has to be there to run right.

Well shit. I could cut the flange out of my long tube header but I'd like to keep it in tact to sell if I can get the truck to run the turbo with no codes

Like these guys said. I ran my wideband down by my stock o2. It's about 24" away maybe closer

Cool I'll put the wideband and upstream o2 at the bottom of the downpipe then. Do they need to be staggered so that one doesn't block the other? Or does it matter

I clocked them about 10° offset and about 6 to 12" apart
