    I don't, but some of the neighbors do :rant: and some for HOURS :mad: Thankfully the rain kept some of the noise down.

    I'm with you - no 65 or so with just a helmet to protect me......

    I know the girls hate them...so annoying! I swear some of my neighbors spend over $1,000 for the 4 th of July. One after another for hours and hours.

    Well, the year is not starting out all that well. My niece (Jodi's sisters daughter) has two great sons, one is 2 1/2, the other is about 6 months. Last night, their family dog, a very friendly (or so I thought) Golden Retriever, attacked the oldest son. We think he fell on top of the dog, but the details are a little hazy yet. Short story, a trip to Boston for some plastic surgery, and 30 stitches to the face. A nightmare for sure. Don't know what the future holds for the poor kid, but we are hoping the wounds will heal without a lot of scarring. He is fine today, just has some swelling to his face. I suppose it could have been worse, but it certainly is horrible. Those of you with kids and dogs, be careful. I raised both of my kids with multiple dogs in the house and never had any issues, but please, keep an eye on your children and pets.

    If they decide to keep the dog - a complete physical is needed. He could be in pain and the boy hurt him unintentionally

    Thanks, I'm not sure what will happen with the dog. Jodi's sister from Florida is in town for the week, and was there when this happened. She is willing to bring the dog back to Florida when she returns. The little guys mom wants the dog out of the house (understandable). For now, the dog is staying with another relative. I'm not sure if Child Services is required to get involved or if the hospital is required to report it. Jodi has been keeping in touch, and the little guy is acting very normal today, playing with his Christmas stuff.
