Well I went to local dealer with Costco deal. They offered $350 below sticker. They were nice, so I didn't laugh. A lot of members here have done much better in their own. Many people in a 100 mile radius of me purchased theirs for near invoice according to truecar. Costco has been a complete joke thus far

Costco for myself was the best deal in town. I attempted to shop their quote around to other dealers and no one would match it or do better. I attempted to use truecar once and that was a joke. Dealers would not honor their own truecar quotes. Stating that their quote only applied to in stock/on their lot vehicles. At the end of the day, the Costco deal was the best for myself. Invoice + $50...

After placing my order on Oct 31st, I finally picked up this beauty on the 26th from Toyota West in Columbus, OH. If you are in the Ohio area I would strongly recommend this dealer. Easiest car buying experience ever! Dean Mahalati is their truck guy and he under promised and over delivered the entire time! Ordering a Tacoma from them is pretty simple:

    1. Call Dean at 614-204-1106 and build the Taco you want.
    2. Take $3,000 off of MSRP.
    3. Wait for your truck to come in.

Dean also does a lot of out-of-state sales (handles all the transporting) for all my friends in SoCal who are getting screwed by their dealers!

    Tell him Brian sent you!

Ohio? Thats far. I might do it during the spring tho, as I have a deer stand to put up before 2016 hunt season

Edit- Wait $3k off MSRP? That seems to be lower than invoice. If thats true, I might be buying a one way plane ticket. lol

Thanks for your sympathy ;) It was pretty bad last time I was at the Toyota Carlsbad..Went in with the serious intention on buying a 16' SW DCSB 6MT TRD OR, that had 600 miles on it because the owners financing fell through. I offered $1000 off MSRP and $8500 for my 07' Prerunner 2.7 5MT 135k miles, and basically got out bidded by the person next door working on the same deal... what are the damn chances of that...

This means nothing without a location

We had no trade in and got 500 under msrp for a 7568 that was due to the dealership in a month. Very rare build so we took it. Buying in socal sucks, along with the 3400 we paid in tax...

I shopped AROUND. No Costco dealers in my area. Had to go 3.5 hours North. Was quoted $500 over invoice for a non-Trd 4x4 sr5 Dclb over the phone, with zero haggling. This was in early November. Truck was scheduled to be built on December 17 and they were able to tweak specs to my exact requirements. Put down a fully refundable $500 deposit.

Drove up and got the truck today. Ended up being closer to $350 over invoice and it's the exact truck I wanted. Sweet! Patience and perseverance paid off.

Went through hell dealing with Bay Area dealerships. Even had one willing to match price on an in stock truck after I had secured the Costco deal but passed because he was shady as hell. I just couldn't stomach the idea of giving that douche my money.

Live in San Francisco area. Had to go to nor cal for the deal.

I got 500 over invoice. Magnussen's Toyota in Auburn. DCSB 4x4 OR w/JBL Tech, tow, all weather mats, foot boards and mudflaps. Actually paid just over MSRP after paying taxes and extended 7year/125k warranty.

I hear that. The closest I found to invoice is $50 above or $3k below sticker. I'd fly out to do that. Hmm. I believe that was out of the Carolinas or Ohio. I'd rather go to Ohio cause I can setup my deer blind in Michigan
