EDIT: Main question before I decide: Will the 30lb spring rate difference between the Eibacks and 884s really be that noticeable?

I know there's a ton of threads on here about this, and I'm sure I've read pretty much all of them, but I'm still not sure which direction to go. This is my first lift, and I've tried to research as much as possible, but I'm still a little lost.

2013 Tacoma regular cab 4x4, no plans for a front bumper anytime in the near future but I do want the Mobtown recovery bar. But I do plan on sliders and full skids within the next year or two.

This is a temporary suspension upgrade, I plan on going all out and redoing it in a couple years, but based on my budget right now this is what I'm doing and I want to do it as right as possible for now. I have 5100's for all 4 corners, 1.5" progressive Icon aal, now I'm trying to figure out how to finish the front. I had planned on going with the Bilstein specific 1.6" Eiback springs with the billies set at .85 but now I'm worried they might be too stiff. I know it's technically not recommended to mix the OME 884's and Bilstein's but would the slight difference in spring rates really be that much of a difference? I don't want the front to be too stiff since it's such a light truck.

Also, what else do I need to get to install all this? The front billies are brand new, but the rear billies and aal's have 10k or less miles. Should I consider new bushings? Should I go ahead and get axle shims and a drive shaft spacer in case I run into vibration issues? Any other suggestions?

Many ppl run 885 with the 5100's. The 884 and 885 have the same spring rate. The 884's are just a little bit shorter. I can't see why you would have a problem with the 884's

I noticed the same rate between 884 and 885, just the height difference and wondered about that, thanks for reminding me. It seems like I frequently read people not recommending the 885's for regular cabs with no weight, I was slightly confused since they're so similar to the 884's.

I'm pretty set on upgrading springs while I'm in there, I don't want to load up my stock ones. I'll also throw in uca's if I find a good deal by the time I'm truely ready to install everything

Why don't you just wait until you get your "epic" adventure planned, then build for that. Otherwise you may just be building for an expedition to your local mall. Save your dough until you get past "temporary" in your upgrade scheme.
