Oh didn't see the show more part. It opened it up in my app not web based. Didn't realize it was only a 2wd too. So now I really think they are asking WAY TOO MUCH! Lol

Time is worth a lot. And your gonna pay for someone else's time to repair that truck too.

Who wants to save a a little money driving a truck that will never truly be the same and have a lot less resale having a salvage title. Unless you buy to keep for a long time that doesn't make to pay that much for it and the repairs. I understand insurance companies try to get as much return on investment as possible but that's a crazy number to ask for that particular vehicle in my opinion. Wonder the actual cost to repair back to "like new" then the total amount the person/ business would ask for the truck after all repairs are done.... Having a salvaged title

More than the difference in price of a new truck.

Usually it's like 75% of cost to fix. Didn't seem totaled to me either. But people don't understand the cost to replace airbags. They are very expensive. Up until recent you had to purchase new ones from the dealer and have them installed there. However I think now you can legally purchase used ones and any Joe blow can put them in. May very state to state though, not real sure.

Anyways I'm guessing the price to repair is pretty hefty and the bigger issue of maybe why it's a "total" is because of limited parts availability. They may have been quoted 2-3 months for something so maybe the insurance company said screw keeping a customer in a 40 dollar a day rental for 2-3 months waiting for parts. All that stuff gets factored in
