Seems like a mixed bag on these. I'm getting my Tacoma on Friday and will have my 265/70/17 Duratracs mounted on these wheels right away. I'll take the flap off in front of the front wheels right away I think. Other folks with Duratracs are rubbing on the back flaps for the front wheels too? Can that little bump in the flap be cut out maybe?

So excited. Have been waiting to get this truck since March or so. 2013 TRD sport premium package in blue.

i thought about cutting that part out, but it would make it very unstable and might start flapping around while you're driving. I'm gonna try a front set of husky's first. Duratracs might work i guess it also depends on the treads of the tires. I missed my chance, the huskys were on Amazon last night for 33..now today its back to 39.99.
Congrats on the truck. Whats in the premium package? Do you mean the JBL package? with the sub and nav?

If you can report back on the husky flaps that would be great.

I think it might be a Canadian package. I think it's just the addition of leather over the base trd sport package. Has a colour matched cap, command start etc. The guy I'm buying from is my dads neighbour. Super great guy, buys a new one every 3 years and his 2016 came in today.

ahhh canadian options. The only one with leather and heated seats we get here is the Limited package that comes with chrome 18 inch wheels. I have the 2014 Double Cab LB Sport with JBL NAV. Is command start keyless ignition. We def dont have that here. Only on the new 2016s. I wont get my liners until later. I asked for that on my wish list so we'll see if anyone gets it for me if not I will get it myself. Will keep you posted

no way. Not gonna pay dealer prices. America's Tire does it all for you and IMO they know wheels and tires better than most people and customer service is top notch. They dismounted my stock tires and swapped the tpms sensors over to the new wheels at no charge. Just have to pay like 6 bux per rebuild kit x4.

Sweet, so no coding or reset on the sensors needed?

nope..the sensors are already coded to your car. Theres a few other threads out there. your ecu and only hold like 4 or 6 sensors at a time so if you get a new set you'l lhave to reprogram them. The only thing you'll need to do is press that tpms button after you get the new tires with new pressures. I put on wheels locks in case anyways too.

I just checked my wheels again and they are alloy oem. So that's going to save me a ton of cash since I don't need to replace the sensors and lugnuts!

ok so i got my jar of automotive clearcoat today. It literally came in this white cream jar filled with clear coat. I tried on the first wheel and kinda went outside the lines, then got a little better. I dont have the most still surgeon hands, but i think this stuff is pretty good. Once it dries, you can pick the stuff with your nails outside the red lines. not too bad.

Got my truck this week and just had my wheels and tires mounted. No issue with rubbing so far, I removed the small front flap. Thanks for all the help from this forum. It was a huge help.

what size tires did you end up with? the 70s? I guess i just have the bad luck. I'm still rubbing when i'm turning..and going up a driveway. I got my husky front flaps today.going to try them out and see if that will stop rubbing on that bulge. If not, then i'll sell them and get some front rokblokz

got my Husky liners installed last night and its all good. No bulge like the stock flaps and no rubbing turned all the way..nothing. Just worried if i'll ever need to install some snow chains when i'm up in mountains at tahoe. I'm scared to tear up the wheel wells.

What kind of weights have they used on these wheels for you guys? they did the stick on weights to balance mine and they are loose from the 3 mile ride home.

same here..America's tire put on the silver stick on weights that I'm planning to plastidip black. They put a long strand right at the big gap on the rim.

Yup so far so good..they are on there pretty tight. The tech probably forgot to press hard on them after the balance. Just have to make sure they dont mess up your wheels when they take them off for the next rebalance. On my other car they used a wire brush to try to remove the adhesive, ended up messing up the inside of the rim.
Id rather them leave the residue on the wheel

So I tried clear coating my caps today using the recommended stuff on page 8. Taped off the cap around the letters and they turned out pretty crappy, about like @wedgemoose's did first time around. I think I put it on too thick and wound up with the jagged looking lines. After that dried I sprayed the whole cap to see how it would look and I think this is the way to go. When my new ones come that's the route I'll be going.
