Man those do look sharp. How is the backspacing on them? put the tire flush or outboard of fender? or no? probably not, being stock wheels. spacers could take care of that

edit....NVM, i found all answers in the previous thread comments

I am unsure what is on here, but I have read sizing etc are same as 2nd Gen. I was planning some spacers with the wheels. I like them- very clean sharp look, but rugged. I think they look better on 2nd Gen than 3rd Gen.

Agreed, these hopefully will become plentiful on the aftermarket, maybe we need to convince a 3rd jenner, that our 2nd gen wheels look better on the 3rd gens

That truck looks great front to back

The wheels do add that "Starring down the barrel of an M-16" look

Love the look OP and others! The new Gen3 wheels look great on our Gen2 trucks. Might have to make this change myself!

He's using the stock tires that came with my 2016. Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar 265/70/16.

Thanks for this pic. I have a white Tacoma also and I have been looking at my local CL but waiting because I was still torn how they would look, your pic makes me 100% sure these rims belong on my truck.

I have also been doing research and those tires seem to have great reviews, they are always towards the top on surveys.

Anyone run into any problems doing this? Were you able to reuse your old 2nd Gen lugs.

If your going from alloy wheel to alloy wheel you're good. All Toyotas have been using a shank-style lugnut with a built-in washer since the dinosaurs roamed the Earth. The tapered end is for the spare tire...which is typically a steel rim. I can't imagine that would be different on the '16 Taco. Steel rims use the acorn-style.

Looks like you need the longer lug nuts that came on the 17" 2 gen sport wheel. The 2gen OEM wheel TPMS will work. A member is selling the lugs from the 2016 or wheel in the 3gen market place . The 2nd gen 16" or wheels came with short lug nuts. I wouldn't use those on these new wheels.
