I've heard from my dealer mechanic the frame swaps pay well, and are really easy.

I don't know about Toyota Automotive, though having had recall/warranty on our former Camry I always suspected they pay decent, the techs were tripping over themselves for the work. Toyota Industrial pays warranty/recall at full 100% advertised labor rate and time (with exceptions)

having worked as a GM tech, GM warranty pays ~70% labor rate at 1/3-1/2 Mitchell book time with DETAILED DIAG MANDATORY as part of the labor (in some cases) this exceeds allowed time, some times can exceed book time on new found cases, tech gets to ally for dig assistance, which may or may not be approved by dealer or GM warranty rep. .

A GM recall is 1/4 actual book labor, GM warranty is 1/3 -1/2 book labor. You look for a way to shorten EVERYTHING to try and make rate and still come up short a LOT.

Keep this in mind when you have a GM FORD or Chysler product and have a warranty or recall issue. some labor actions pay as little as .3 hr ( thats 18 min ) that includes having to go out in the lot, find the vehicle, bring it to your bay, do the required documentation, order parts, retrieve parts from parts dept ( they are in no hurry), then do the actual task and return it to lot.

    in 18 minutes, ponder that...

If you've ever seen under the hood of a GM full size Gvan, how long would you think it takes to replace the power steering pump ? or the A/C compressor ? then guess how much recall or warranty pays.

I learned the hard way, get ASE certified ( diesel in my case ) you get ALL the warranty, and loose your ass because you can't make any $$$ ( LB7 DuraMax Injectors were VERY popular when I was a GM Medium Duty Diesel tech 10yrs ago)

If the tech isn't being paid, how much care is he really taking to do the recall/warranty repair on your vehicle ?

HAHA 2 more people and myself have said it looks like Mickey. I have 2 bussman already, a 12 under the hood and a 6 in the bed. I am interested in the plate to mount the circuit breaker and fuse block onto much more cleaner than being attatched to the fuse box.

Hopefully soon. I've got a couple guys interested in the Bussmann boxes. If they get on the ball I'll be up to install.
