Yes, you have to send it to PC if it has an internal problem, supposedly there is a special tool needed to remove the internal cartridge and nobody else has the tool.

asuchemist I replaced them with weathertech mats, they do not smell rubbery and I do not know if they will fit an 11, they came out of my 12.
Zipcord it is, but tubbsisland asked about them first so if he no loner wants it I can let you know.
