Just ordered a sport 4x4, 6mt, p&t+tow for 34395+ tt&l. They told me it was invoice and showed me the paperwork to "prove" it. Looks more like $1000 over invoice to me. I wanted the manual so I had to order. This is in Dallas, TX.

Ghart, just curious; how long did the dealership tell you it would take for your truck to get in? I ordered the exact same vehicle (black) on Nov. 7. I keep checking in periodically for updates, but none yet. I know the San Antonio plant accepted it almost as soon as the order was placed, but nothing since.

Except I ordered the OR, not the Sport.

They said the end of Feb, beginning of March. No guarantees I am sure.

Back on Thanksgiving weekend 2015, went for oil change and during that process the dealership bought back my 2013 Tacoma TRD Sport 4X2 MGM for 26K. Bought my 2016 TRD Sport 4X4 MGM for 28K plus had added $1500 worth of extras for nothing. Have been very happy with my new Taco. Glad I upgraded.....

By the way, I only owed about 12K on my 2013 before the buy back so on a 40K truck minus 14K I got for the 2013 equals 26K. Add the tax and all the other fees the truck came out to be 27.9K. Fully loaded except for JBL Audio and Mudguards. Extra were SS running boards, Clear paint protection (Hood, Door) and dealer window tinting on driver and passenger glass.

I finalized the paperwork on my new Tacoma today. I ended up trading in my 2014 for:

2016 Tacoma DCSB TRD OR 4X4 AT
    MGM with Graphite Interior
    Prem/Tech Package (non-JBL)
    Tow Package
    Tonneau Cover
    All Weather Mats
Frameless Auto Dimming Mirror with Homelink

MSRP as equipped above was $38,923. I got a USAA discount, military rebate, and made a little on my trade and after tax, tags, and dealer fees my final price was $36,000 OTD. The truck is currently at the port and should be at the dealership by Friday or Saturday this week. I have to say, I am very pleased with the deal that they gave me and am really looking forward to this truck!

What is the Maverick Package? Do you know what price you paid before TTL?

We worked out the numbers for flying and if I got 3000 less, which would be less than invoice on my model, I would only save about 1100 after driving it back from East coast and taking a week off work. Not worth it to me

I hear you, but I have a deer stand to put up in Michigan, so Ohio wouldn't be too bad of a drive one-way. It would take me 3 days to drive it back. I have every other Friday off, so I would only need to take 2 vacation days. One way flight is $188 bucks, plus the Uber drive to the dealership. Plus I feel good about getting a good deal and don't give business to the gougers. So, a lot of it is principal.

And, I am not new to a Mission. lol I've done a lot of crazy things for the fun an saving a few $$

I'm 2500 miles from the cheap parts of the east coast. If I flew, I would have to take a jumper to wherever the truck was because I won't have a vehicle to drive there. It wouldn't be cheap! I wish I could have done it, though
