If you come onto a forum for a specific vehicle you are going to find horror stories amplified times ten. Zero issues with my truck and it's only got 1100 on the odo. Just do a thorough check on the truck if you decide to get one and check all of the issues off one by one just to be sure. You should be doing this anyways when buying a vehicle.

Removed front spoiler, Toyota All Weather Mats, Toyota sill protectors, Towing package with Curt tow bar & hitch, tinted front driver & passenger windows @28% Llumar Film, removed pinstripes, added 4x4 TRD Off Road decals, Toyota OEM mud flaps, BFG KO2 265/75/16 tires, ...more to come.
Just as an update...put another (approximately) 100 miles on my truck today. It's feeling better and better and I am loving it more as I drive it. The problem(s) seem to be working themselves out, so I am not even sure I am going to continue to post and report as having had any problems at all. I'm starting to think they were all in my head anyway. I'm happy I took the plunge.

Thanks to all that have taken the time to respond. I joined this forum as a part of my "research". Im very deliberate when it comes to buying almost any big ticket item. I do understand the "bitch fest" that tends to happen on the forums. I also inderstand that Im not going to get the comfort or towing of my Sierra AND the off road and turn radius capabilities of my Jeep. Compromise is okay when Im trying to minimize my maintenance time and expenses on my current "fleet". Im 67 and im expecting this to be my last vehicle purchase, unless I hit the lottery and buy a new Z06 C7 Corvette. My towing needs are modest, an enclosed trailer with a Harley or small ATV. Off roading a bit in the desert or the mountain trails in AZ. No big rock climbing events or 60 ft jumps. Ive been fortunate enough to accumulate a bunch of toys but now its time to,be more reasonable. I'M embarrassed to say that my idea of thinning the herd will still leave me with 3 car-trucks, 2 Harleys and an ATV. A girl needs to "accessorise", you know.

I'm looking at an Inferno Red TRD 4X4 Sport DB Cab with the Tech Pkg & Moonroof. It has the tonno cover too. Waiting on getting some real pics on it. Might move on it this week, if the #'s work out.

You mentioned gas mileage mileage was a concern with the Titan. Seems like when I looked at the Frontier it also kind of sucks in that regard. That's part of the reason I waited to buy the 16 to replace my 2004 Tacoma. Almost bought the Colorado before I read they were finally redesigning/improving the Tacoma.

Awesome!!! A woman living in style..... I hope I can say the same when I'm your age!

Corvette's are over-rated unless you plan to use & abuse the horsepower on the track. LOL. We used to own an 01 for about 8 years. It was fun & fast but being so low to the ground, you'd be afraid to drive it anywhere. Even the smallest of man-hole covers would be avoided. LOL. Not to mention - getting out of it....Oooooo...hard on the legs & knees. :) I'd rather take a 4WD and a romp in the woods anyday!!

I finally sat in one yesterday and I was overwhelmed by disappointment. I'm 6'0 and I felt like I was about to hit the ceiling on that thing. I have a small sports car with more head room. The interior in general felt VERY cheap and the back seats are a joke. This is not the comfortable Tundra I've been in many times.

I really think you buy the Tacoma for one thing: Reliability, but even that we have an unproven built from the ground up complex engine. So that's yet to be seen

I expected a LOT more from a $36,000 truck that didn't even have power seats. I'm sitting on the sideline waiting for a refresh.

I do think Toyota missed the mark on a few things, power seats for one, and no remote start. I mean come on Toyota, really. 10 years and this was overlooked, pitiful, but an after market RS can be added I guess, but it should not have to be, IMO.

Name something that doesn't have problems, and from what I'm reading, the problems are minor, a noise, a bulb, doesn't go from 0-60 in under 5sec, and so on, Toyota is dependable, and I love my 2016 :)

You mean under 8 seconds? Problems are not minor, VERY small cab, cheap feeling interior, drum brakes, little leg room, lacking power/tq and very expensive.

I could have excused many of these things for a truck under $30k, but the one I sat in was over $36k without TTL. That's insane.

Over 8 seconds!!!! I'm 6', so I'm not a giant but no issues at all as far as leg room, maybe in the back, but then again, it's a truck! Mid size! Cheap feeling??? Powerful enough for me, would blow my 2001 away, so I'm happy!! Paid 40k for mine, could of waisted my $ on a lot worse, totally ok with my truck!!

I have a '93 C4 Vette. Not a classic in my mind but a fun driver. Just have to pick the right day to ensure i can crawl out with out springing my back (I can fall in, and thats okay). I must admit, not a very lady like exit, most of the time.

But hey, i spent 20 years in the Marine Corps and did a lot of things that werent lady like. Much to the chagrin of my long ago EX. He was not at all understanding.

Got 17.2 mpg out of my 2003 Sierra, (2x4, 4.7 V8 Ex cab) running at 80 mph on my trip home to Texas for the holidays. Had less than 1000 lbs in the back tho. If I had backed off to 65, it would do better than 20. Ill see what it does, running "downhill" back to Phoenix tomorrow. Also will be a bit lighter.

Hoping a 2016 Taco will match that.
