To clarify: Are 2nd gen OR lugs ok to use on 3rd gen OR wheels?

That would be up to you. Looking at the ones advertised in the 3 gen market place, / 47th post down shows the longer ones for the new 2016 wheel. That's what I'm going by. Those are the ones I would use.

Just reviewed that post. I agree- those seem to be the longer lugs; nice catch. I was considering black Gorilla lugs anyway. I bought the OR wheels on the post above that one- I should receive soon. Will look into that further.

Very good. I think the difference is the style of the center cap. I like to use the correct OEM parts on my truck. Post some
Pictures please when you getter done. Cheers!

@JD'STACO14 - OP pic seems to show the lugs a little recessed. After reviewing some 16 TRD OR wheel pics, the lugs seem to me to be NOT be recessed. This make sense for the longer lugs.

    Again, good catch.

Thanks for the info on the lugs. Talking to someone today about a set of 2016 Off Roads. I was going to go with either Anthracite FJ wheels or Countersteers. FJs are hard to find and seems as if everyone has the solid black wheel/white truck combo.

FWIW. I used my 2014 lug nuts on my 2016 wheels with no issues.

The stock tires have great rain/snow traction. I drove through a snow storm just before I swapped tires and rims, and they performed great.

Got them picked up and installed today. FYI I used the stock lugnuts and TPMS that came with my stock 2010 TRD Off Road wheels and tires. Bottom pic shows that they fit inside the fenders just like the 2010 wheels.

No real change in the way it drives. They guy I bought them from lived 5 minutes away from Discount Tire and they were able to do the swap right away. Totally changes the look of the truck.

My favorite thing about the 2016 is the different off-road modes such as crawl I watched that video on YouTube where they get it stuck in sand to the axels front and rear and crawl mode un digs itself
