Another reason I bought a double cab (with a short bed) was to piss off the DCLB losers.

    ... and friends.

Also, I'm really confused as to the '5 feet isn't enough to be a bed' sentiment. I learned about Toyotas on up-armored Hiluxes with short beds, and we never ran into anything that the short bed couldn't handle. 1st-world problems, I guess?

It too bad the double cab seats don't fold back like they did on my Silverado. The way that Toyota did it with the seats folding forward there is more useable space in my access cab when caring stuff.

Come on man who you kidding? The difference between the AC and DCLB is an entire 10 inches. Now if you were comparing the DC to the Single cab that would hold weight.

From a practicality and comfort standpoint the AC makes zero sense if you want to carry more then two adults, or dogs, or even car seats. Those fold down seats are laughable and a subtle form of torture. They are rare for a reason, because the market doesnt want them.

That's BS. Some would rather have the access cab. If there are only two adults in the family kids can ride back there no issues and my access cab I can fit more gear in it than a double cab because the way the seats fold.

Soooo I bought my DC because my fiancé (no wife) said I had to have 4 full doors. She doesn't like the idea of dogs riding in the bed. That being said. I love my dc. It fits me perfect. I have a trailer build coming up before long for an rtt and camping gadgets. But the truck can fit dogs (I put the seats down)and eventually kids. I'm also planning on buying the wife a 4runner 2012+ and build that for a dd/weekend warrior build for when our family gets bigger. I love my dc and I'm glad my wife convinced me to buy it.

Tacoma needs to follow Tundra, Silverado, Ram. And change the sucide door on the access cab to a B post hinged door.
As I have noted before, the AC is the better looking profile. IMO

Yup, totally agree. I always thought the double cab with the long box looks odd. It's an extremely long truck (even compared with full size) and very narrow for that length.

Don't get your knickers in a twist. Everyone who has posted has their own preference. My kids are grown, gone, and my two small dogs don't need full size seats and/or doors. So what makes zero sense to you makes perfect sense to me & mine. What's REALLY laughable is someone trying to convince the rest of Tacomaworld that they've selected the perfect model & options, and anyone who doesn't conform to their standards is demented. Like Ruggybuggy said, save the BS. Some don't need or want the DC. I've had both, the AC is what I need and want now.

RedToy12 (post#122) might disagree, just because of his particular need, but I personally agree with you. I would prefer the forward hinged doors on the access cab. The current setup is more useful in one particular instance - removing the front seats. Try wrestling those out of the cab without the two doors open...

I like the way my access cab doors work. It's easier to load large objects in the back. I would hate to do that with a tiny back door.
