Dang that looks nice, I just cleared that island. Now I'm trying to figure out how I wanna build it

Pretty sure windmills are under power > generators
Also I'm pretty sure they don't require any perks.

 

They are under generators, and as of now they do not have a science requirement, you're right (I just reloaded to look)

I'd swear they used to have a science requirement...when I first got the game at release I hated the noise of the genny, so I went looking for alternatives, and then I swear the wind turbines had a science prereq.

Ah well. Food crops used to generate 1 food as well, now they create .5...shit changes.

 

Mutfruit is 1 per plant

 

I just scrapped the shit out of the island earlier. After seeing some of yall ideas for a building there, I'm tempted to turn my ps4 back on and get to it. I did fool around with my stairs to see how high I could build there and I only reached 7 floors, not 10

 

It was mentioned earlier that sometimes crops cannot be selected while in workshop building mode. I think you can only select a crop when there is a fruit or veggies ready for harvest on it. For example, if you have a tato that can be harvested, the plant itself can be selected. If it doesn't, its unselectable. I think that's done purposely to prevent people from artificially harvesting unlimited crops since when you store a plant it automatically reverts to its harvested (and thus craftable) form.

 

You can select plants in workshop mode you just can't continually harvest them and different plants regenerate fruit at different rates

 

Did you start at Sea Level ?

 

Try selecting a plant that doesn't have anything to harvest on it.

They regen at different rates? I wait 24hrs or fast travel in and out and they're ready to harvest (or so I remember).

Oh yeah , there are some dead / withered plants but those never bear fruit , they're basically just background landscape , and yes , the different crops regen at different rates

 

Right; I apologize if I'm not being clear bit I'm not referring to those. Try harvesting a crop, like corn or mutifruit, and then go into workshop mode and try moving it.

Never noticed the different regen rates though. Good catch.

 

The only plants anyone should be cropping are mutfruits, corn, and tatos. For adhesives.

Yep , the only time I plant other plants is if I need crops at a settlement and don't have anything else to get started
