Hey everyone! I just moved (I use that term loosely) here from Philadelphia and wanted to say hi. Looking forward to meeting and doing some wheeling with you guys soon. I'm off till the 15th if anyone knows of trails that are passable.

 hey fellow Pennsylvanian! Where did you move to?

Sorry I can't help with any open trails. Still learning the area myself.

Howdy Ryan! I recognize your name from the PA threads and think we may have actually wheeled at Rausch
I haven't officially picked a location here. I'm currently staying in Lakewood for 2 weeks and doing some apartment hunting. Pretty much just drove out here withy stuff and am winging it. Originally I thought I wanted to be in the burbs west of downtown but so far this area is not for me...too commercialized with chain restaurants and shopping. I really liked the area south of cap hill around Broadway and 1st because it had some bars and restaurants.

I have been Facebook free for over 5 years now and never plan on going back!

We have. Good luck finding a place! I'm not familiar with Denver at all really. I'll stick to the small mountain town.

Anyone planning on going to the Georgetown Ice races fun day on friday?

Track setup starts at 8am, registration starts at 11am, and I am pretty sure it'll be fun, but chilly. I am planning to go and see how I can control the duratracs on ice.

Well it looks like you have two days to clean out and/or secure that shit to get it ready for racing! Going to have an Explorer and a JK going off of Rocky Mountain Overland.

I'm planning on getting up there early to help setup. Looks like it'll be snowing, so it should be awesome! These are the times I wish I had my go pro again. But then I'd end up finding one picture i like from 4 hours of video and 4,300 pictures.

Sounds good! The website says that they pretty much run the events no matter what the weather is, so I dont think anyone's going to blink at a little snow. And for anyone interested, its $20 to register and $5 for inspection. Cash only.

Its setup like an autocross, so it wont be a destruction derby. Two cars on a course at a time, but you start halfway across the course so you wont come near the other car. And for the fun day, it sounds like you just line up when you want to race.

I have a hero 3 laying around if you want to use it. You may need to hunt down a charger for it though :anonymous:
