What is that cap? I don't see it in the tutorials.

Edit: Nvm. I found the cap. Looks clean. It might need an air hole though since it seals up so tight.

I rented a Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab over thanksgiving and full coverage insurance was more than the rental cost. No way I was gonna put a 40K truck on my insurance though.

 

It would cost a couple hundred more per year than a Tacoma. Not a big deal.

 

You should replace the lower ball joint bolts. I forgot to do that and noticed the recommendation after.

 

Their is a rack. I think it is called Sky Rack or something. I've been thinking about it myself.

Edit: This might be it. It's been a long time since I researched it. The overhead shotgun rack is what I was thinking about.

My A/T cooler lines were all chewed up, so i replaced them, and did a ATF flush by draining out of the output line with the engine running intermittently to pump the fluid (had someone in the cab to shut engine off when flow slowed). I then replaced the lines with new 3/8in hose and good BMW hose clamps.
(BMW part #07129952104)

 

I removed the output line that had a clamp in the middle of the hose, supposedly for a check valve like most A/T lines have. I looked down the hose and could see right though it, there was nothing in the hose where the clamp was.

Is there supposed to be a check valve in there???

 

Today was productive! Installed center console from my 04 in my 00 and cut frame horns welded in the caps and got my bumper back on the new truck! Instead of using new pieces of metal for mountS we grinded down the pieces we cut off of the existing mount and took it and welded it back in, you can kind of tell in the pictures! Forgot to take a finished picture will post one tomorrow

 

You didnt even wait until the ink was dry on th before modding the thing?

Is the new one a A/T? Can you see if there is a check valve in the cooler line if it is? See my above post for the issue im having.

 

Hell no lol Gotta get some snow wheeling in this winter and just simply get back on the trails so I am trying to transfer everything to the new truck as fast as I can lol! And I'm sick of it being stock already! Did you find anyone you know if going up to LA?
