Spent several hours last night diagnosing my second GPU issue. Tried every software-relation solution I could think of. At this point, I'm guessing it's a hardware-related problem and that makes me upset. This computer is six months old.

 

Getting back to settlement wall building , my go to is concrete shack blocks as you guys know but for a gate I use the shack fence large gate . In order to properly space it I set my concrete blocks along to the location I want the gate , then snap two regular floor sections to space the opening , these also act as a catwalk across the opening and then carry on with my concrete blocks . You can then place the large shack gate into the opening , place it on the outside of the wall plane and pull it back into the opening until it goes red then just nudge it out till it goes green and allows you to place it , the braces fit nicely into the gap , works pretty good .

 

I guess I should go back to talk to Pickman?

 

Pickman himself gives only one but there is an initial mission given to you by Hancock to investigate the Gallery.

 

I haven't bothered with gates I just leave a gap big enough for a brahmin in one section of my wall

@Biscuits , you were right about not being able to select crops in workshop mode that you have recently harvested , tried it last night , hadn't noticed that before

That makes sense otherwise you can exploit that, say you just harvested it then you go over it to either scrap or store it essentially putting out 2 quantities.

 

What I've exploited regarding food is: plant mutfruit for example, immediately harvest it and plant again, repeat until 1 mutfruit has turned into x mutfruit plants and 1 mutfruit.

 

Good news:
Both 970's work. Phyically removed the cards from the motherboard, reinstalled them, and wa-la.

Better news:
Went ahead and bought 980ti SLI... Because why not.

Bad News:
Bank account and annoyed wife.

 

lol. Let me known if you sell the 970's. I have a Titan Black at home but a severely dated 550Ti at work.

 

Had another synth infiltrator attack inside one of my settlements again

Got a " Failed to defend the Slog " message , pretty sure again that I never got a prompt that an attack was underway , so I was kinda pissed off and fast traveled there right away to check the damage . My fast travel point is on top of the building there and as I arrive I hear a few gun shots and one of my settlers says " It's over " and they all are just milling about . I check the crafting stats and nothing is in the red , check the turrets , generators and crops , no damage and I was like WTF , maybe that was a glitch cause it doesn't seem like there was an attack here . I go inside the building and there is one dead settler , check the body and it's inventory contains 1 Synth Components . Same thing I found the last time I had a Synth Infiltrator attack .

 

I haven't had a synthetic infiltrator attack yet. I did fast travel to sanctuary in the middle of an attack today that I didn't see a prompt for. My turrets took care of it though. I never even found the bodies. According to one of my settlers assigned to a guard post, it was raiders.

 

I get the "failed to defend" messages all the time. I've never checked one out because I'm usually in the middle of something. I don't believe I've had any synth attacks, or at least I've never noticed one.

 

I haven't met the Institute faction yet, but when I do, I am going to kill them twice. I have a bone to pick with those assholes.
