I'm thinking of taking off my 3"coilover spacer and using a 2" spacer and Bilstein 5100s set at 1". Or should I just go with the Bilstein 5100 set at 2 1/2" ? At 2 1/2" is that maxing the shock or spring ? I'm not sure how the notches in the shock affect the spring or shock . Any help is appreciated . I have an add a leaf [giving me about 1 1/2" in the rear] and a pair of rear 5100s coming in the mail . Thanks .

You have a 40k dollar truck. Why put in a $200 lift?

5100s and new springs. or new coil overs. 5100s at 2.5 are to stiff. Just my opinion.

No new springs too much money right now . What about the 1" spring spacer and 5100s set at 2". The spacer inside is better than my spacer on top of coilover [Ride wise] ?

5100s have 4 settings. 0, .85, 1.75, 2.5. No 2. I did 5100s at 1.75 plus 1/4 toytec top spacers. And SMALL spacer on top of coil over assembly is better then on spring.

On top is better , because your not putting pressure on the spring ?

Yep... But over 1/4 needs new top studs. I wouldn't go past that anyways.

People here rave about the 5100s. I got them an set them at .85" and the ride is not good. Wasn't worth it. I'd save the extra $150 and get 884's to pair with them if you want to go the cheap route. Or just stick with your spacer.

Do it once and do it right
Save for a decent lift if you can't afford it right now.
Better than wasting $ on something you'll end up replacing down the road anyways.

Mine are at 1.75 and I think the ride is better.... Guess it's just an opinion. I thought the stock sr5 was sluggish. But now more firm but not rough.
