It's too firm. Harsh over small bumps and pot holes. And you're talking about compressing your spring even more than I did

I hear you but aren't 5100s much better than a coilover spacer ?

Earlier weren't you talking about just putting spacers in there? Either way, 5100's would be a better solution than spacers, and springs would be even better. Ideally I'd go with a strut that has additional travel to compliment the additional ride height from the springs. I personally don't much care for adjustable coil-overs. I find they don't particularly agree with salted roads, of which there are an abundance here in Michigan.

I'm looking at the Performance Bilstein kit from Headstrong Offroad:

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/headstrong-kits-tacoma-05-6-lug.html

My issue with that are the front struts and springs. While the struts are larger diameter, the springs don't give a lift, so you have to pre-load the struts to gain ride-height. I'd prefer to not pre-load the struts and instead just have longer springs.

I'll probably wait and see what TRD comes out with before I do any suspension work personally. I'm in no rush. Stock truck suspension is fine for me for now. I don't really have any horse in this race I guess, so this is just my perspective on some options. Take it for whatever it's worth.
