Went up FS 18 towards Segelsen ridge near Darrington today with some Jeep buddies and a brand new 4Runner with less than 1k miles on it. It is supposed to be a snowmobile trail but there was no gate so we went on up until we all got stuck in about 3 foot deep mush. Had some fun winching back around, roasted some weenies and headed back down. One guy made it halfway up the mountain in an AWD Chevy Astrovan.

I know you had a bad experience but I've have a good one. Well made in my opinion, just have to drill the holes correctly in the rubber strip and it should line up perfectly :notsure:

Well, went and spent about 45min at mule today. Ended up with some winch rope and a new hause fairlead. Debating if I should keep my cable for an extension and clamp some hoops on it or just junk it.

What's the recommendation for rope install? The guy at mule said to just duct tape the first wrap on the drum, no screw. The rope i got is the TJM 18k rope and it doesn't have a hole for the screw at the end.

Holy s, my existing fairlead is a pita to remove. Also, it doesn't look like the factor 55 aluminum fairlead will fit inside my ARB. It's maybe 1/8" too wide.
