So my grandfather, who turned 92 on Dec 30th!, just gave me this Universal Firearms Corp. 4x32 scope. It has never been out of the box, but he says he's had it about 40 years. Is this better suited for one of my 22's, or my dad's 30-06?

I would say .22. I don't know much about Universal Firearms Corp but I do know that 4x32 is a very common size for .22 scopes.

Looks like the exact scope I have on my Marlin 22N. Shoots nickel sized groups at 50 yards.

New addition to the family today, the 1911 45ACP on top. Broken down, cleaned, reassembled and ready to go! Nice companion for the P226 9mm below.

Finally got off my butt and bought the Glock 23 but the HK USP Compact was calling for me. It's like choosing between dating a brunette or a blonde.... a tough choice for me  I might have to pick up the HK in the near future

$800 or so. It'll be a seller's market for a year or two, since they're no longer imported. Someone will eventually start making them in the US. Personally, I think they're worth half that. But if you have to have one in the next 18 months, buy it now. We're on the front edge of an increase in market price for black guns of all types with the elections coming up.

Think it came up earlier... Saw some metal lined Pmag ak mags at the local sportsmans warehouse today. $26. I'm sure you can get them for $20 online. Looked pretty good though, might get one or two. Hard to beat all steel combloc surplus, but they are starting to dwindle.

    Working on it.
Picked up a VP40 yesterday. Spent a little extra for the LE model with night sights and 3 mags. Looking for good retention holsters, there hard to find it seems like. Only one I can find so far is Safariland that fits multiple handguns. Anyone have experience with one or another brand / type?

I'd email safari land and ask if they plan on making an ALS holster for the VP40, the ALS is the best holster system I've found so far.
