What are some exercises to bulk up neck and slim down waist? If anyone here has been in the army, those are the two measurements to determine your body fat %. You could be off the scale in weight but if you have no neck and a slim waist you're good. I'm being told if I don't meet weight or make tape in 60 more days I'm out of the Army. :( Never had this issue in the last four years but I guess age is starting to catch up to me. I've always been big, but always make tape. I'm on the edge of the tape but I would rather not even have to get taped anymore. I'm at 208 but 189 lbs is the maximum the army says someone 5'10" can be without breaking out the measuring tape. I've been around 200 for the last couple years and haven't felt I'm fat. I do good on PT tests but maybe I'm not doing something right. Some guys got me some vitamin packs and thermogenics. Probably helped me maintain my current weight during the holidays but I want to lose more, especially round the abdomen. Anyone else recommend supplements that help burn off body fat? I want to combine them with specific exercises to ensure that I don't fail tape if I can't make 189 in two months. What are some drastic things to lose 20 lbs fast? I prefer to eat since I still have to be active. Special diet? I'm working on eating less and choosing clean foods as much as possible.

Cut out sugar, take a fat burner, do 25-30 minutes HIGH intensity interval training before lifting, lift for volume not this bullshit 1 rep max junk...that's how I always made weight in the military.

those look really cool. One thing I would like to see is something that wraps around your ear like a wireless/BT one of these:[IMG]

At least with wired headphones if they fall out you have a way of catching them. However, an around the ear thing would fix that.

However still a super cool minimal product. I would also wait on backing kickstarter things few reason. One being the kick starter product and the production product have minimal price differences but the production product will have a few upgrades over the kick starter.

But overall, still a very cool potential product and the wireless headphone market has a lot of potential for a great product to make a lot of money if it's priced right.

As far as headphones go, you can't beat these that I got for Christmas:

Creative Sound Blaster Jam Ultra-Light Bluetooth Headset

They were $38 on Amazon and have 4.5 out of 5 stars. They sound amazing. I just think anyone who pays over $50 for headphones is a fucking idiot, especially those Beats by Dre headphones. Unless you're like a professional in the music industry, there's no point. Not to say that I'd turn down a pair of free wireless Bose headphones, but I damn sure wouldn't pay for them.

I don't like the ear buds because they fall out too much. Wired headphones in the gym are a nightmare when trying to squat and deadlift.

My cousin just came back from there yesterday. He put up some amazing pics. That's definitely on my list of places to go before I turn 30. I've never been in more than a few inches of snow. Every time we go somewhere to ski, the snow fucking stops lol

I've been dealing with a head cold/sinus infection since NYE, but I still made it in the gym Saturday b/c it wasn't as bad then. Yesterday, I sat in bed and played Assassin's Creed from 10am-10pm with breaks only to eat/pee. It was awesome. Still hit all my macros, but I'm pretty sure I blew at least 12 lbs of snot out of my head. Gonna suck it up for upper body today. Got to go claim my territory from the Resolutioners

I love them. They're only 3 oz, so I don't even know they're there. Also, earbuds are uncomfortable to me. They're perfect.

I don't know if it's been the 9 day break or the allure of all the newbs who will be able to watch a man at work when I finally get to the gym today but I am getting hype for my workout later, which is good because I ran out of preworkout on my last day there and haven't replenished my stash yet...

9 days off and I actually didn't lose any gainz. Gained 2.6lbs and my BF% went from 10.27% to 10.58% but that actually translates to 1.82lbs of lean gain and only .78lb of fat gain. Not bad for how I ate/drank over the break.:bananadance:

Going to do to the 225 bench challenge today.

x2. I can't stand big ol headphones unless I am watching a movie or just relaxing.a

I couldn't look in the mirror with big ol headphones on. Some people can rock them, I am not one of them. Plus I can't run with something that big. They ever so slightly bounce with my jog and it drives me nuts.

Thought I'd share this...everyone at my work does a weight-loss challenge every New Year and again around June. Most of the people that work here are 30+% bodyfat and, out of all 40ish people here, there are no more than 5-6 that workout regularly, but my boss and I are definitely the only ones who actually lift. There's this one fucking kid who's like 120 lbs that is always talking about how he used to be like 4% bodyfat and how he got shredded on Insanity and he's always trying to give everyone diet and workout advice. I was just in the kitchen getting my Lucky Charms out of the fridge (don't judge me lol) and some folks were talking about the weight loss competition they do and they asked if I was doing it and I said no and that I was bulking until around March-April. I don't ever do them anyway for a few reasons: 1. if I'm competing against someone who is 50% bodyfat, they're going to lose a shit-ton more weight than me and 2. rapid weight-loss is the last fucking thing on the planet I wanna do lol. I told them if they wanna do a weight/strength or a comp that compares muscle mass to fat, I'll gladly do it lol. The kid I was talking about above was like, "I bet I can get to a lower bodyfat than you" and I said, "you're at a lower bodyfat than me now, but I bet my wife can out-lift you." I thought he was gonna pass out lol.

EDIT: After reading that, it makes me sound kind of arrogant, but I swear, outside of here, I keep to myself, but I hate when fuckboys try to act like they know how we roll

Hey man these headphones look awesome. Been looking for a new pair as my old iPod headphones are going to shit and aren't loud enough for my gym taste to cancel out the crappy gym music.
How do you rate these 'sound cancelation' wise? I understand if they're not super sound proof due to the price. Also, is it a MUST that you connect via bluetooth? I've never really messed around with Bluetooth technology so it would be a first for me. Does Bluetooth rely on your cell phone's signal at all? Because the gym i go to is an underground gym so the cell phone signal is very poor when I'm at the gym. (Something I really like about my gym, actually!) Thanks in advance for your reviews!

Bluetooth is a signal from your phone to a device, so as long as the device (in this case, headphones) are close to your phone, they'll pick up. I walk all around the gym and have no connectivity issues. Make sure your phone supports Bluetooth though (most, if not all phones these days do).

They're loud, but if someone was screaming beside you, you'd hear it. They do cancel out loud talking and crappy gym music though. I'd give the sound cancellation a solid 7-8.

In between sets I'll keep them around my neck if I'm talking to someone and I can baaaaaarely hear them playing unless I've got it all the way up. When on my hears I'm almost 100% certain no one else can hear them. Now if I were in a quiet room and someone was beside me, I'm sure they'd be able to hear what I'm listening to, but in a gym, no one can
