Just go slow. And lay out all the pieces in order and you'll be fine. use leather or a thick cloth with a pipe wrench to break off the cap and you'll be good

I wouldnt mess around with ratchet straps to compress the springs though, they rent out spring compressors for free at auto zone...which reminds me I need to return the ones in my garage

    Those don't fit some coils.

The ratchet straps I think work okay for 600lb coils. Sure as hell would t want to do it with 700s though.

I used them for 500 lb coils and the 600lb ones I replaced them with... wasnt a perfect fit but definitely safer than ratchets. To each his own but there are better options out there lol

Well yea haha I went and borrowed a wall mount one for my 700s. But can't always do that.

Those wall mounted compressors look to be way easier than anything else

I'm so confused. I'd rather spend the money (and more importantly the time) doing it right the first time and then enjoying it, instead of doing little incremental upgrades, dealing with all the BS that comes along with each, and spending 5x the money (and time!!) in the end. I learned that the hard way as do many others, yourself included I guess.

Of course you can cantilever a double cab, you can cantilever a mini van if you were so inclined. However, just because you could, doesn't mean you should.

Just so I can wrap my head around it

    Canti Bad:
    Very difficult to tune
More moving parts (more to replace, more to maintain)
Won't work as well off road
Shocks easily stolen and exposed to elements
Stepping stone to links (will need new shocks, have to remove cantilever kit)

    Canti Good:
    Looks sik
    Pullz hoes
Bedspace (bedspace is for pussies though)

Hey, on those conversion mounts, can you run the oem discs on the rear?

That's expensive for a tool that gets used very little.
