I know the guy who started the thread. Owns a fab shop up here for FJs. Some of them are going to go to that expo too

 

Yah guys i don't know. I need to get an alignment before I can wheel. If I fail at that, I'll try to ride with Todd or Micah or somethin. Unless anyone has a relevant objection I'd say the 10th looks like our best bet. I work at 5, but I'm down to meet in the morning and fuck around for a few hours before I have to be back for work. I'm going to call Thrashing Trails in the Morning and find out if they'll have us, if not I have a few other places in mind.

 

So what did Thrashing Trails say when you called them this Morning?

 

Well, apparently they've been closed since August and don't know how long it will be until they can reopen. There's a gas pipeline that runs through their property that was replaced, and according to the Woman I spoke with on the phone, the gas company accused them of: "damaging," the pipe line by causing soil erosion and loss of vegetation. So, they replaced the line, putting it deeper than it had been previously, and now it's just a waiting game to see how long it is before the gas company is satisfied with the amount of vegetation that has grown back.

The Woman I spoke with was apologetic, saying that she has had to put a lot of people off that call without having any idea when exactly the park will reopen. She said they'd love to be able to open but are concerned that the gas company would fine them if they did. Her best guess for when it will reopen was March, although she did say that if there was a significant amount of snow on the ground that they would try to open, as that would limit/prevent damage to vegetation and soil erosion.

So, for this Sunday, we will have to go elsewhere.

 

Mark, how far away is those roads/trails you always do? Why don't we do something like that?
