I would love to go to Kyle at Cochrane, but because my buying experience was soooooo bad there, I won't show my face there ever again, guess I'm stubborn. Yes, CHT does lots and heard good things, and I recently had a Boss lift quoted there, but the $2700 quote was just way to steep for me, and their pros told me Bilsteins don't lift a vehicle at all...only option offered were the 2.0 Boss's....I thought many of the threads here promote Bilsteins as a cheaper alternative and highly recommended?? Price and confusion scared me away.

I would go this exact route!

If you have a Bill of Sale signed by the dealer you may be able to hold them too it. It's also a good idea to get Toyota Canada involved if you are still stuck. (I hate saying this as a previous dealer but might just provide enough pressure on the dealer) What kind of trade in did you have if you don't mind me asking?

We had our two real keen offroad guys move on recently so its a bit of a learning curve. If CHT Doesnt work for you I can suggest The Gear Shop next, its a great place for Toyota enthusiasts and they know EVERYTHING about lifts. But I can't promise anything regarding price.

We don't install bilstiens as a lift due to the fact you're just preloading the spring and destroying the ride properties. Some Icon lift owners will demand the highest settings and will complain about the ride after.

I had a 4runner owner set the coil overs so high that when I hit ruts in the road my head bounced off the roof!

Plus one on the Gear Shop. I will say however that while they know a ton even they've had the odd screw up. They do make it right though!

I have bilsteins on my full size, rides perfect. On a 3rd gen taco set at 0.85" or whatever it is, I highly doubt it would affect ride quality, and if it did it would be for the better. Mine are set to 2.1" and it rides better than stock off road.
    Just my experience.

Try Reid at Lethbridge Toyota maybe, if you are interested. He's a good guy from my experience.

So you have a very desirable trade in. unless is it a previous write off or if it was involved in a large accident you should be laughing.
I'd take you Bill of Sale (or whatever you have) somewhere else and try and get a match.

Good luck, I hope it works out.

To confirm. Did you trade in? Would you sell it private?

I still have the truck, no write offs or accidents, just a small scratch on the passenger rear fender and a couple rock chips in windsheild.
I would sell privetly but with taxes on truck it might cancel out the benefits in the end.

    Trade in 28000 on a 40000 truck taxes (600$ )

Private sale 30000 towards 40000 truck
    (2000 in taxes.)
It cancels out unless i get more than 30k for truck.

Local dealer quoted me $46,076.80 for 2016 TRD sport double cab. Is there any other dealers in BC - Fraser Valley area who can beat that price?

Mine was MUCH less than that - what is the breakdown for that number? Options? Taxes, etc.?

I'd gun for $1,500 off of that MSRP...

So it should be around $44k roughly? Its probably pretty hard to buy the demo right now.

Probably...Of the quotes I got from lower mainland and VI, the island ones were the most competitive...

Are you trading something in, financing, or paying cash?

All those factors will put a different spin on the numbers.

I got $3429 off of MSRP on a 2016 Limited but I paid cash, don't know if I would have got the same deal if I was financing or trading something in.

I dealt with Ferdie Roxas at Metro Victoria.
