I need a good winter tire or a decent at tire. I had a set of bfg all terrain ta's on the last truck and they weren't too bad in the snow, any recommendations?

I have Big O Bigfoot AT's. They're basically rebranded Coopers. Had them on Toy and now Runner, no complaints

Hello there Susan, back to the grind for me tomorrow also. Next scheduled day off is Presidents day. Kind of hard to believe I've been at my current job for just about a year already! Jodi's sister and husband, along with my niece and her two sons came over for a visit today. I'm very pleased to say I was relieved to see the little guy. He looks almost like nothing happened. the cuts, which were pretty deep, look almost like scratches, even though they are stitched. I couldn't see the stitches they are so small. The plastic surgeon that did the work did a great job. Also, he showed no fear whatsoever towards my fat old dog beagle. I'm thinking this is just about a best case scenario considering what could have happened. The dog involved is fine and staying with a relative for now. She will be going to Florida when Jodi's sister heads home later this week. Jodi's sister owns and operates a dog grooming business in Treasure Island Florida, and the dog will have a great new home with a dog loving family (with no kids)!

I run KM2's and they do great in the deep snow. They aren't very good on the ice though. haha I keep them aired down all winter than they do alright.

Before the KM2's I had some Michelin LTX A/T2's and they were pretty good on the ice compared to my KM2's.

We get MLK day off, then nothing until later on... can't remember when

Good to hear he's not afraid of dogs and  to the doc!!! Good to hear the dog has a new home. and yes, you always have to watch dogs and kids.

My younger granddaughter got bitten on her butt, by her neighbors dog. He's a young dog that's not used to kids. Thankfully it was on her butt and not her face. When her dad was cleaning the wound (two canine teeth punctures). She said to her dad "I have a hole in my butt" The bite was reported and Emmy said to the animal control officer that she DID NOT want the dog put down!!! Both are doing well, and the owner is working with the dog on how to behave around children.

I was just over on the Outdoor Hub website and was reading about 23 elk that were killed standing the railroad tracks near Helena.
Seems they wanted to take a break from the deep snow. Does that happen often ?

Is it unusual for the animals to seek out easier routes to walk? No. Is it unusual for such a large number to be killed at once in the tracks? Yes.
Can't ever remember that happening before. Few years back a bunch of Bighorn sheep were hit by cars because they wandered onto a highway to lick up the salt. They don't use salt there anymore. The animals aren't stupid, they know it's easier to walk on plowed roads vs snowy fields and winter is tough, they're trying to survive and expend as little energy as possible.
