I'll go!!! Got the weekend free! On a trailer note... what do you figure you have into yours $$ wise???

I'm looking at an already built rig (I don't weld) with tent for around $4g. It's a demo unit, basically new. When I go camping now, I use a bed tent, so I'm always loading\unloading gear. I have a small trailer that all my gear is on, but it is not off road worthy. It's been off road, but it likes to bottom out. It would just be so nice and quick to be able to hook up and go, and with our current situation, there's not much planning more than a day ahead.

you should come along :) and i have over 4k into it not including labor, if it is a nice built trailer 4k isn't a bad price at all. i love having a trailer much easier to just keep it ready an load minimal gear when going on a trip

I prefer Saturday especially if we camp for the night. If Sunday, I can only wheel for the day... wouldn't be able to camp as got places to be early Monday AM.

armor shmarmor... i dont have any.. havent had any this entire time. idk what it is on TW that makes everyone think they NEED armor.. skids.. bumpers.. sliders. what and when did it change that our trucks are incapable of anything besides a dirt road.

not getting on you about it at all Josh.. I would like skids.. but not having them hasnt stopped me nor do i think any of our trucks with out "armor" arent capable. I've just noticed a (dumb) trend here lately where if you're not "armored up" your not capable, not off road worthy or you're a mall crawler.. Its just another dick measuring contest in my eyes.

Makes sense to me, just dont be an idiot and you should be ok. That said when i get a less ghetto bumper up front i want a skid covering from where the bumper ends to somewhere past the oil pan. Because the radiator and oil pan are easy to hit and pretty fragile
