The media. ESPN had an article the day after that said something like "Jimbo Fisher built a title team with the sec model". I'll try to find it later today.

Um, he built it on the Saban model. Just like the rest of the coaches in his tree. Maybe not to a "T", but parts and pieces of it. Dabo isn't in that tree.

Clemson made it off of beating the snot out of mediocre teams....Undefeated.

So what is the norm for classes starting back up? Just wondering if this is a product of Bama to get more practices or do a lot of other schools do the same scheduling?

Maybe something other schools should consider if on the same schedule as Clemson.

So a high power offense that beats every team by 3 TDs+ and sets NCAA offensive records is the Saban model? If you're saying defense that model is just getting the biggest fastest best players

they didn't beat the snot out of notre dame (just 2 points), but I would give the "snot beating" title to the mediocre (or slightly less than mediocre) team of NC state

Former Ohio State star RB Maurice Clarett was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and turn signal violations after being pulled over Sunday by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Clarett, 32, was driving northbound on I-71 in a 2011 black Infiniti when he was pulled over at 1:52 p.m. Clarett refused field-sobriety and blood-alcohol tests.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol spokesperson told The Columbus Dispatch that Clarett was alone and appeared impaired. He was arrested and taken to the Morrow County sheriff's office and released to a sober driver, the spokesperson told The Dispatch.

Why is the championship game always played on a weekday?? I do not understand...we spend all season watching games on saturday (with a few exceptions), so why a weekday for the biggest game of the season? Play the fucking game on saturday. End of rant.

Same thing happens in the ga vs ga tech game. Tech gets less practice time because of school schedules

I never knew any of this happened, I always thought the NCAA kept things equal.

Yeah they know how to execute by now but neither has prepared specifically for the other team. Not saying this will determine who will win, but don't you think it should be an even playing field?

The media wrote the same thing last year about Oregon-OSU, were they building an excuse for Oregon's loss?

It all depends. FSU has always been on a schedule similar to Clemsons. I also don't think schools should go adjusting their academic schedules for the chance they might play in a championship.

You could point out the fact that Bama goes out and schedules 1 OOC Power 5 team every year of recent (don't really know how far back this trend goes for y'all). This is actually something I've respected about Bama. While I still think scheduling FCS opponents is dumb, some teams don't even make the effort to get a power 5 opponent on the schedule.

With you here. Those fuckboys from the NFL come and decide they want both days of the weekend for the playoffs and CFB has to wait till Monday.

Oh ok...had no idea NFL playoffs started saturday...makes sense now, kinda. But i say fuck em and play the champ game sat night anyway. There are multiple college games at the same time. I think the majority of cfb fans are mostly exclusive to cfb...and vice versa. I'd rather watch a good cfb matchup reg season than the superbowl. Hell, i'd even watch auburn play a winning game than watch 2 nfl teams that i care nothing about play in the superbowl. To me, the NFL is a necessary evil. Without it we wouldnt have cfb, but i cant stand it.

Clemson was up 21-0 going into the 4th against ND then went into "dont lose mode" and what does NC State have to do with anything?
I'm just ready for the game to be played. If anyone has a shot to beat the almighty Bama, it's Clemson.
