since im still waitin for parts n springs to show up, ive had some time to revise my crossbrace( the other one flexed and rubbed my airfilter box) soo, I made this one and it is solid!, no wiggle. 1.75 DOM, made the delrin bushings for it too.

I've always wondered, is there much to play in ABQ? I went to the Cinco de Baja twice and it seemed more appropriate for Ultra4s or rock crawlers. We did a lap in my pop's Raptor and the course was so rough the shocks faded right away... yes I know I know it's a Raptor.

I guess I misunderstood the "solid" reference. Carry on.

I'm just an internet fabber, but isn't one nut supposed to go on each end of the limit strap clevis mounting sleeve?

EDIT: the "wear" marks on the misalignment spacer also appears to be rubbing your UCA. Could just be the pics tho.

Nah that's what the spring is for, double nutted so you can adjust em and lock the adjustment in

It depends. Sandwiching the top and bottom like you describe prevents the clevis from rotating. Which, depending on application and placement, may not be the best decision. I personally like to double nut the top and use a spring on the bottom so the clevis can rotate freely.

Mine is double nutted and a nut in the bottom with no spring. But that's because I don't want it to *possibly* catch if it were to rotate. I can rotate it freely but I was paranoid and locked it in place.

Anyone know of some threads referencing cutting down the stock wire harness? I have the fsm and printed out diagrams, just want some pics and info from others if possible. Wanna delete all wiring for EVAP stuff, ABS, ADD, airbags, wiper fluid and wiper motor among other things. Better than having a bunch of plugs hanging about.

Mine are just solid mounted in double shear, no clevis, totally different mounting system. Also much more weight. So was curious, Thanks for clearing that up.

    Yes
So how do you adjust them when your straps stretch out ? Cut the tabs off and move them higher ? Or do you have so much travel that you strap it like 2" higher and not miss the travel ?

Had to go scroll thru some photo's, guess I don't remember correctly oh well. You can see the sleeve next to the bump stop can. But yes I might not notice 2" less.

I don't mean to rag on ya' but the whole ass end of your truck is missing, someone stole your fenders, your rear axle fell off and those bump stops probably aren't gonna do much :rimshot:
