    Good evening gents,

Just picked up my new Taco and am super stoked about it. I have a dash cam that I pulled from my trade-in and am looking to hide the cables in between the roof and windshield at the edge and along the A pillar behind the covering. Has anyone popped that cover off on the passenger side or have ran the cables right at the edge of the roof and windshield tucked up underneath the roof lining?

    Mostly stuff I built.
Why not hard wire it into the map light circuit in the overhead console? Remote fused of course.

Interesting...I might be able to get that to work. Currently the plug is miniUSB to cigarette lighter. I had originally planned to run the cable to a PowerPak (http://www.blackboxmycar.com/collections/hardwiring-kits/products/power-kit) hidden behind the dash that I hardwire to the fusebox.

I ran cabling up the side and tucked into the A pillar and across the top of the windshield. I didn't remove the pillar, tucking them in the side worked just fine and you can't tell its there.

Yes, I just hardwired my dash cam to my truck. You don't need to pull the headliner. Use a non-marring tool and push the cable into the headliner where the windshield meets it. There's a big enough gap so the cable will tuck nicely in. If you want to hardwire your dash cam, use an add-a-circuit and tap into your washer fluid fuse.

Outstanding info...thanks! I'm gonna take a closer look in the daylight and try again. I tried earlier to push the cable into the headliner but I didn't use a tool.

No, fingers are not agile enough to push the cable in. Get something like a flat blade screwdriver, but made of plastic. That way you don't scratch up your glass or headliner.
