2016-2017 Toyota Tacoma Rokblokz Mud Flaps! (Picture Heavy)

Hi Guys,

I got a set of Rokblokz Mud flaps last week from John at www.rokblokz.com. Got around to installing them and its a super easy install. They bolt up to the factory holes in the fender well. I'll show you a comparison between the factory mud flaps and the Rokblokz. I absolutely love them and John did a fantastic job making them!

Only one little issue I did not like with the flaps is there was a gap in between the truck and the flap in the front. So I improvised and made some custom pieces out of rubber to fill the gaps!

The gap on the fronts doesn't make any sense. Not a fan. I'll be selling mine slightly used

Quick question on the predator steps. Aren't they usually equipped with two steps? Yours has three steps?

Nice job, I installed Rockblokz on my Forester to protect it during its hellish life with me and it did very well.

I would point out that I had issues with corossion with the hardware they supplied, and removed all the screws to apply grease to prevent further corossion.

I'm trading her in on Monday for my new Taco

 

Interested.. pics? are they universal or made for the Tacoma?

 

OP, are these the ones made specifically for the 2016 Tacoma or Universal?

Has anyone tried the Universal?

 

Just a heads up... When I ordered a set of these, I got the following email from RokBlokz:

Dear Buyer,
I am writing to ask if you are putting these flaps on a truck with larger/wider than stock wheel set up, or planning to upgrade the wheels to larger/wider than stock. If not, would you prefer to have something that does not stick out so far on the outside edge? Let me know and I will make the change before shipping.
(We are working to get those updates on the website right away)

I went with the smaller ones and they overlap up into the wheel well so there is no gap. They also have a line marked if you want to cut them to fit larger tires. I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

 

They are just made for the 2016 models man!

 

Thx, I think I'm gonna try the universal ones.. I can fabricate my own brackets. I'll post up when done.

 

Here is a (bad) photo I was able to snap today of the front flaps I got from RokBlokz:



No gaps, but the last mounting point (farthest inside) seems to pull on the flap and twist it a little, so I just left that one off.

 

Do the rear ones have gaps on the small size rokblokz?? Or did they fix that?

Depends on which ones you get. On mine... Neither front not rear have gaps.

 

I agree, and it looks bad too.
Do the rear ones fit in the front? If the screws/holes match, they could be trim a bit.
