thats what I'm sayin! I find it hard to believe it hasn't sold yet, the guy last night loved it, he was on his way up north to work 3 days with the eureka FD. He texted me this morning to set up a time for friday and says he will have cash in hand. I think he will end up being the buyer, he told me he has an FJ40 he did a complete frame off on, but now he is to scared to wheel it, wants the 80 because his current girlfriend has kids and its a good family wheeler. Seems to be sold, $8500 and I'm keeping my Thule bars. I am sure down the road I will wish I had kept it, but honestly when my 30k Tacoma build is done I don't see myself wanting to drive anything else for a while.

This is the next step in my one year project. Relentless Fab skids. IFS skid up front. Mid oil pan skid. Have to put off the transfer case skid for a week or so.

I saw him early December when I picked up his oem leaf packs. He's been busy with school and life. He did mention that he was selling his taco, but still had it when I was there.

I'm starting to prep my truck for sale. What all did you do? Since I know that some jobs are best done by experienced people, what would you charge for a DC taco with light pin stripes?

I could clay bar, wax it myself, but sometimes I'd rather just go ride my bike and pay someone to do it instead.

Started with a strip wash for the wheels and paint, undercarriage. Then went to claying followed by a one step polish with both of my machines to get into the smaller areas. Once that was done I did an alcohol wipe to prep it for the sealant. Then I sealed the paint and dressed the plastic and under carriage. Cleaned the windows and it was ready for delivery.

Sounds easy when you write it all down. Send me some pics of the stripes and what all you want done. I can shoot you a price and we can go from there. I know people have budgets and timelines. So long as you're realistic with demands we should be able to work something out. ;)

Jesus Christ. I didn't even wax mine. Just washed and magic-erased/303d the black plastic trim. Of course, I had just put in an new air-fuel sensor, smogged it, and put in a new battery days before listing it, so I was done spending time an money. Sold in 2 days for top dollar.

depends on the buyer/seller. 90% of the time good paint sells for higher dollar.

Yes, people like shiny. Granted, I only had a couple minor scratches, and silver hides everything. That black presents a challenge.
