Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
As I have talked to others, Chip is no longer interested in running more of the program than just being a coach. I think he has learned his lessons with dealing with players and coaching.

I am not sure I want him with the Niners. Loved him in college... but not sure I can see him in SF. However, I think he should step down to become an OC for a few years... unless he has too much pride to do that.

Sarkisian wants to land a job as a QB coach or OC.

Maybe he and Manziel can work together somewhere.

Does anyone think we will see a reseeding change in the playoffs soon? Two division winners were 9-7 after it looked for awhile like we could have another 1 or even two 7-9 division winners this year. With the parity in the NFL now we are likely to see another sub .500 division winner in the future. The discussion always comes up when there is a chance of it happening but then it gets tossed aside if all the teams are above .500 like this year. I figure either address it and fix it now or quit complaining about a sub .500 team hosting a first-round playoff game.

    So...what's the actual problem, again?

    So there's a division winner with a sub-500 record. ...

    ...

    ...

    And?

The hell does that matter in February when the Lombardi is given out? If a 7-9 team beats everyone else and gets the trophy, maybe you have an argument. Until then, I'd say let them play as-is.

Hell, there's 10 and 11 win teams that MISS the playoffs now. Stay awake and win if you want in, sure, but pay attention to the ALL of the rules and regs and how seeding is done!

He interviewed with the Dolphins yesterday. Who knows. I think he's had his day myself.

The rumors I heard with the Colts was that Irsay looked at who was available and decided that sticking with Pagano was the best move.

As far as the Niners are concerned a QB's success, as well as a running back, will depend heavily on the quality of the offensive line. Also it seemed that the Niners were trying to keep Kaepernick in the pocket. I don't know if they changed offensive schemes and he just didn't pick it up or what but he did not look comfortable. Part of the offensive play calling has to revolve around the skills of your QB, RB, and the quality of the O line.

They tried to keep him in the pocket because he's not good outside of it. His first year or two in the league his athletic skills caught teams by surprise and he could run by them. As teams started to adapt to that he would leave the pocket not have a good running lane and not look to pass. That's the huge difference between Wilson and Kaep/RGknee. Wilson is excellent out of the pocket still looking downfield to pass, Kaep and RG just run. Specifically for Kaep he can't pass worth a shit out of the pocket, his accuracy goes to hell whereas Wilson is actually more accurate...

The coordinator didn't hamstring Kaep, that's silly, they realized they needed him to become a better passer and to do that he needed to learn to play from the pocket. I bet if he could have/would have learned reading the D, progressions, keeping eyes downfield etc. they would have then taken him out of the pocket again. Unfortunately up to now he has proven to be a bit of a mental midget.

I remember Kaep's first couple years, he was downright scary because he'd all of a sudden whoosh down the field when nobody was on him. Now... :bored:

That's why he didn't really mess with the Hawks too much. They play 3 deep which allowed the SS/LB to always be in the middle of the field and their coverage is good enough to not need help. He couldn't beat them in the air. He had some runs against them, you just can't contain him all the time but nothing like what he did to GB a few times.
